Does anybody care about the rest of the season.

With very little playoff hope in sight, what happens now is the Bills turn spoiler against the better teams. A Patriots win maybe? Anyway, now these players see themselves as playing for a job next year. Nobody really knows if Marrone will be retained if the Bills finish the year at 4-12, except Russ Brandon. -
OG Richardson is graded at the 30th- 32nd best, and he won't be there in the 2nd as QB's and O linemen tend to move up as the draft gets closer. Anyway, your draft would certainly address some issues in my view, I'm just not so positive it would give the Bills the best upgrades needed. The Bills need help in stopping the run, and pass rush so #1 OLB like Khalil Mack. They could use a real #1 WR, Mike Evans- Sammy Watkins. OLB-WR-OG-OT in any order would satisfy me. NFL draftscout.com, Rob Rang has the Bills taking Cyrus Koundjio with the #9 overall http://www.cbssports...ftscout-RobRang Both sbnation.com & walterfootball.com & SI have the Bills taking Mack @#9. OT at #9 is not that far-fetched as NFL.com has the Bills with OT a need. Although DE makes no sense, and S only if they let Byrd walk. 9. Buffalo Bills Record: 4-8 Team needs: OT, safety, DE Analysis: The Bills could use another offensive tackle as well as some youth at defensive end. Buffalo linebacker/pass rusher Khalil Mack would be a very popular pick, and his versatility would give defensive coordinator Mike Pettine a lot of flexibility. http://www.nfl.com/n...or-all-32-teams

get EJ what he needs to succeed in 2014

Apparently you missed my post One of the most difficult things to do in the NFL is find that "elite" QB like Brady, Brees, Manning. Sometimes it can take years, and years to find one of those players, along with a bunch of 1st round picks. The Texans will probably be spending that #1 overall on a QB just like they did back in 2002 with David Carr. Then they have spent the last 6 years trying to make a 3rd round QB work, and got to 12-4 last season. It is far easier to build a dominate running game, and a top O line. That top O line can almost make any decent QB work out OK, JMO http://mmqb.si.com/2013/10/04/pass-rush-balance-notes/ -

For me, I hope they lose the rest of the games to get a better draft pick. Actually, i could care lass about just getting to the playoffs. Its building a team that can go all the way and win it all. But I do hope they throw the ball around enough so that we can figure out if this is the right QB and if he has good enough receivers. -

Man 0 Man do I agree Although, Its not really going against the grain, as the 8-4 49ers and 11-1 Seahawks are both run first teams, meaning they run more then they throw (OMG, how is that even possible in today's passing league?) Both team have invested properly in their O lines, and it is paying off with winning seasons. They also have read option QB's and good receiving corps along with top defensive units. The Patriots & Broncos are mainly passing teams that also rely on the run game, just not very heavily. Once that snow starts falling, and father winter gets those cold winds blowing they will need to rely more on the run game. The Bills currently lead the NFL in rushing attempts and are 4th in rushing offense in terms of yards. Yards per attempt, 13th. They are #2 in fumbles with 10. They are #4 in yards per game. #6 in rushing TD's and yet after all that are only 4-8. Probably because they are 29th in passing yardage, 29th in receiving yardage. EJ and his receiving corps have been injured and not playing enough to get in proper sync. The bigger problem as I see it is the Bills can run the ball at times, just not at the times they really need to. For me its far to early to tell how good EJ is going to be simply because of all the injuries to himself, and his WR's corps. Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, Stevie Johnson have all been injured, and with Johnson starting the year with hamstring problems, to a bad back, to a groin injury. Anyway, I'm hoping this off season the Bills will be looking to upgrade at least 2 of those O line positions, perhaps 3. Build EJ a line like the Seahawks / 49ers have, and then they should be able to run when they need to, and give EJ Tom Brady like time in the pocket. -

How was that O line for Carr, didn't his line lead the NFL is sacks for several years? The Texans did set a single season sack record for 76 times, 68 in his next year. Talk about a decent QB getting beaten down, and being ruined. -
TE might have already been addressed with the signing of ex Chief TE Tony Moeaki. So if this kid can stay healthy that position might not be that big of need for 2014. It was very smart to bring him now to see how he does in the remaining games. It was difficult to evaluate the QB / WR corps considering all the injuries this season, Woods, Goodwin, Johnson all missing a bunch of games. Stevie Johnson started the year off with a hamstring problem, then a bad back, then a groin injury. So it has indeed been tough for the QB to get in sync with his receivers this season. I really hate to say it simply because this team has drafted so many defensive players the last 14 seasons, and they haven't even sniffed the playoffs by going with that philosophy . But this defense needs help to stop the run as a priority, so either a top FA OLB or draft someone like Khalil Mack. Then an OG / WR in any order, and a RT. Either way this FO goes this next year should be very telling as to "IF" this team will see the playoffs under this regime.
