in my humble opinion, the best man available for head coach is marty schottenheimer. No one is talking about marty. He is an ex-player (buffalo) and a great teacher of the game. Look at the coaches that were his assistants; Tony Dungy, Cam Cameron, Bill Cowher and Herm Edwards. The only reason he did not win super bowls in the 90's was the fact that he coached against the great Bills teams! In 21 years, the man has 200 victories, had and only two losing seasons, and had 11 seasons with 10 victories or more. Why would the bills want a HC? And Seattle offers carroll 35 mill! marty can assemble a staff in a weekend and put buffalo back on the map. i'm outa here

My take on this situation is that the Bills should grant Peters his wish. Take the best deal you can get for the guy. This is a great deal for Buffalo. The guy was undrafted and now they can get a first round and maybe a third or fourth! He does not want to play in Buffalo unless he calls the shots. Get rid of his attitude. Now, sign Jon Runyan from Philly. He is a monster stud who can still play at a high level. Pay him what the Bears paid Pace (since we lost out on him), 3 years/$15 million. Buffalo needs to protect Edwards left side and Runyan, who has not missed a game in 9 years is a great addition to the Bills front line. Does anybody have Brandon's telephone number?

I agree with going after Peppers and eliminating Denny and other underachievers but not Schobel. If you compare Peppers and Schobel's stats you will see that Schobel has more total tackles, forced fumbles and sacks! I am not saying that Schobel is better than Peppers but if Buffalo could get Peppers they might just have the best two-man rush in football.

As it turned out the Bills had a great bye week. Many of us were disappointed with the play, the coaching and the overall a@@ kicking the Bills received in Arizona. However, Arizona beats Dallas and now sits 4-2. They are a legitimate playoff team in the NFC. Buffalo did not get beat by the old Cardinals! They got beat by a pretty good team after all. Washington loses to St. Louis at home. The Patsies lose to San Diego and the G men lose to the Browns! I am pretty sure I would be way more mad if I was a Redskins or a Giants fan. Should Buffalo beat San Diego this week, week 5 will be dust in the wind.

Seems like everyone is looking for a whipping boy! We should be looking for a unit not a player. The offense is the problem. The 100 million dollar O line is underachieving, performing, etc....The special teams used to be special now they are very good. The defense used to suck now they are "middle of the road pretty good" and the offense was one of the worst in the league and it appears to me that the o line is working its way to the past. To be a playoff team the o line has to dominate the line of scrimmage most of the time. Many people blame the defense for not getting the ball back or stopping the Cardinals. Well, the score is close and after the bills field goal in the 3rd quarter, the offense musters 68 yards on 20 plays consuming a whopping 7:30 minutes the remainder of the game! The dee was flat out worn out! Forget Schobel and JP - the problem is truly offensive!
