  1. Agreed. They took a risk on a player, and even let it play out for two years but it just didn't seem to work out.
  2. I'm not saying he was or wasn't deserving of another chance, but because I know him personally I hope that he lands somewhere. I know he's been struggling, but does that mean that I can't root for the guy? As for not working hard enough...didn't the guy lose something like 80 pounds last year? Just sayin'.
  3. That's me yo! I really don't know anything else other than him getting cut. Hopefully he lands somewhere because he was a good dude.
  4. Kind of disappointing. Dude was a really nice guy and hilarious to be around. Hope he finds a team.
  5. Awesome documentary. Caught it a few years back on Palladia. Very interesting.
  6. I think he eats non-toxic cray...colored wax. Jimmy Spags, youze a nice guy an all, but us Buffalonians don't need no Jets fan from Yonkers to bust a 'Skins head for us.
  7. Guys, the O and D both admitted to not doing any game planning. They were trying to different things on offense and the defense was running a base package basically all game. They're trying to figure out personnel in this first game and who belongs where. Let's take a deep breath, relax, and relish in the fact that there were no serious injuries.
  8. Carved up? They scored a TD on a WR screen. The final score was 7-6. If anything, the offense is to blame.
  9. 2012 team. How can they not beat the Redskins?!?!
  10. We're prolly right around the same age and I agree, there's not much that I really care to remember. I remember going to classes, being miserable in those classes and then graduating. Some fun inbetween, with parties, and prom, and friends but besides that I'm glad it's over.
  11. "We're getting creamed out there." "Well if Florence Nightingale would play a little defense over there." "Larry, I missed one shot." "It was a big shot!"
  12. Yeah, cause Skelton is a world beater... Did you watch that preseason game against the Saints? Dear lord. I realize it's preseason but Arizona looks in trouble with those two QBs and that OLine.
  13. I would figure it out BUT, I have as much or more respect for him.
  14. Just watch me in Dazed and Confused. It should tell you everything you need to know about high school.
  15. Say, you're a freshman right? So tell me man, how's this years crop of freshman chicks look like?
  16. Starting H.S.? Jeez, now I understand some of your posts Senior year and prom were the highlight of my high schooling. Parties, camping, and sexual experiences a plenty!
  17. Some things I'll add that I saw. Offense was throwing a lot of back shoulder throws with much success. Basically the only time Gilmore was beat was on a back shoulder throw. I agree with OP, McGee looked done. Seemed slow and definitely still hurt. Dickerson is going to be an interesting player to watch. Great mismatch against safeties. I thought Glenn and Hairston looked good in oline vs dline work but admittedly I didn't watch them that much in team work.
  18. After watching the Bills round up I think the pass may have been tipped...but Gilmore was still all over it.
  19. I was there today and saw a lot of really good things. I watched the oline vs dline in individuals for awhile. Both Cordy Glenn and Chris Hairston looked good at tackle from what I saw. Glenn just seemed to be a wall in front of whoever was facing off against him. Held his own against Anderson and Merriman. Fitzys balls seem to have more zip on them then from what I remember in the past, although he did throw an out route for a pick six by Stephon Gilmore who read it right away. I was somewhat far away during team drills but the DLine looks as advertised. Constant pressure on the QB. CJ looked explosive running the ball and I was impressed with Dickerson who was working the safeties in individuals. I also loved what I saw of Sheppard. He's going to be a fun player to watch behind that line. Freddy had something wrong with his ankle so he didn't do much. Kelsay, Stevie, and Nelson didn't practice. Met Wannstedt after practice who seemed very pleased with his goal line defense and the dline in general. Seems like a really cool guy.
  20. Apparently Eddins was getting way to close on some of his pressures on Fitzy and Jasper went after him to protect our QB. Like you said, it was hot and tensions are high...especially for the practice squad players trying to make the team. Hopefully nothing to worry about. BTW, heading to camp tomorrow and my buddy got some tix in some corporate VIP tent. I plan on taking some notes and I'll let u guys know how things look to an average high school football coach.
