Not making any excuses for the kid, but playing a night game in Death Valley vs one of the best defenses in the country, not to mention an SEC rival, is a VERY tough task. He came through when he really needed to, and they won the game. 'Nuff said. Did you see the national championship last year? Dude was as cool as the other side of the pillow. Btw, zero INT's this year vs. 19 TDs? Pretty darn impressive.

I've only been in the RV lot once before, so my information may be old but I believe you can arrive at almost any time the day before. Not quite sure what the rules are about the other van in the lot but I would assume it shouldn't be a problem. You really shouldn't need the van to go anywhere once you get there. There's a convenience mart on the corner of Southwestern and Abbott which is probably a 5 minute walk from the RV lot. Finally, I don't think you'll have any problems with the propane smoker...there will be plenty of other smokers, grills, etc. all around. Enjoy yourself and drink mo' brew.

There's a lot more to it than just the safeties. Saying Cover 2 really doesn't explain much except for the shell over the top. There could be a man corner on one side, with a zone play backside, incorporating LB zones or blitzes over the middle. It all depends on how the offense lines up as well. A basic Cover 2 would have some trouble against a Trips look. If Peyton Manning sees a Cover 2, I'd bet you a million dollars he's making eye contact with Stokley and he's running a corner route over the CB and under the Safety for a first down. Or, just sitting in a void between two zones and waiting for the strike for a 6 yard gain.

They've played one true away game. As good as they've been all season, at Norman and at USC will show who they truly are.

Ouchhh. There's interosseous tissue in between each rib as well so you have to think there's some obvious damage to those as well if his bones are detached from the sternum. When I saw the play happen, I was thinking how much of a wuss he was because it didn't look bad, but obviously it was much more serious. My bad!

Opie's wake was pretty damn emotional last night. Scene and music fit together perfectly. Also, love seeing Tara kick some ass with her cast.
