  1. If I have to explain it to you, then you don't deserve the explanation.
  2. Seriously, I know. I moved into a house in April of 2011 with a few of my buddies and we used our shovel literally 4 times last year. This year? Haven't even had to pull it out of the shed yet.
  3. He throws a nice deep ball, good play action, but not a guy that's gonna make a "Wow!" play. Good game manager, which is his role at Alabama right now.
  4. You can't just tell a person how to grieve. Different people handle things differently. Football may be his job, but it's still just that, a job. Having a brother pass away unexpectedly has to be extremely difficult to cope with. Also, look at Geno Atkins. 3rd year in the league and he's looking like a legitimate DPOY candidate. Dareus is still very young, give him a little time.
  5. He better not leave the Tide. I would be heartbroken.
  6. This doesn't have a whole lot to do with "big games at home" but it is an unbelievable stat. Since 2010, the Patriots are 21-0 in the second half of the season (2010: 8-0), (2011: 8-0), (2012: 5-0). Talk about improving as the season progresses.
  7. And look who our 5 wins are against-- Kansas City, Cleveland, Arizona, Miami, and Jacksonville. All losing records. 5 teams that will probably be getting a top 10 pick along side us in next year's draft...
  8. Think about a QB. Tipped balls or dropped balls that turn into INTs which aren't completely their fault but they still get credited with the INT. Just the way she goes.
  9. Agreed. I'll save some judgement until I see it but spreading it out so much does not sound beneficial. Btw, it was one of my favorite books growing up.
  10. Well field position is extremely important, especially during a 12-7 game. I understand the reasoning for punting when you just dropped the snap the kick before and the weather was not ideal by any means, but taking a timeout instead of a delay of game and then punting is beyond me. The thing that I would like to correct on your statement is that if you miss the field goal you also lose another 7 yards based on where the kicker kicked the field goal from. So a kick from the 34 yard like would end up giving the ball to the Rams at the 41, which by my calculations is VERY GOOD field position. In no way am I defending Gailey, just pointing it out.
  11. It's just pathetic how much coaches out think themselves. Like Sullivan said, "You're 5-7!" Take some damn chances, be aggressive, show faith in your players. Stevie had an awesome first half and did all of nothing in the second half. Spiller can score on any play at any time. Even when the defender thinks they've set the edge, CJ still finds a way to get around them. Use your play makers, let Fitz MANAGE the game. He doesn't need to throw the ball more than 30 times in a 12-7 game. Use Chandler more for stick moving completions, he has great hands and can use his huge body to box smaller defenders out. Some simple steps can go a long way.
  12. 100% agree. One of the most entertaining hours of TV that I've seen in a longggg time. Harrow has gotta be one of the most interesting characters on the show as well. Dude is just the coolest.
  13. Take the points for sure. We'll be up 13 going into the fourth quarter and allow the Jags to get within 3 by the end of the game. Never fails.
  14. Booooo! Spent a lot of my teenage years checking out concerts there, sad to see it close.
  15. I wouldn't really call him a "good guy". He beat somebody to death in a bar in front of 20+ people and then threw some money on his body saying, "pay for his funeral." ...although I guess it was nice for him to pay for his funeral. Haha. I do love this show tho, I kinda bailed half way through the first season because it was kind of getting boring but I really got back into it the last two seasons. Harrow is my favorite character. I really hope he ends up with Nuck.
  16. It's the same thing as when a coach calls a time out AFTER the play clock hits zero to negate a delay of game. The refs just give the coach the benefit of doubt that he called it before the time expired. It's stupid.
  17. Why in the world he's covering Wayne is beyond me. Gilmore should've followed him everywhere.
  18. I'm not saying he's a clear cut NFL quarterback at this point, he's still young so I doubt he comes out this year anyways. I was just trying to defend his performance in a hostile environment and his no interception season up to this point. Btw, I'm also an Alabama fan, so I may be a little biased.
  19. How do these guys become weapons? With a good quarterback. Give any elite quarterback in the league our offense around them and I promise you they would have no complaints. CJ and Freddy in the backfield? Stevie is constantly open, sure he drops a few but I have a feeling some of that comes from the fact that he has NO IDEA where the ball is gonna end up out of Fitzy's hands. Our WR YAC stat has to be absolutely abysmal. How many times do you see our WR falling to the ground, or having to stop their route in order to adjust to where the ball is. Fitzpatrick may have not thrown any INTs yesterday but he did not play a "good" game as you stated. Zero TD's in 60 minutes does not equal "good". 12 carries for our RBs does not equal "good". Coaching and QBing are our most pressing problems.
  20. Spiller- 6 carries. Jackson- 6 carries. 'Nuff said. Spiller is one of the most dynamic players in the league, get him the effing ball. Also...can we ever run a power running set? Or do all of our runs have to be shotgun draws?
  21. I agree with what you're saying, but in their defense stopping Foster obviously had to be #1 on their agenda for this game. This is not to excuse the horrible reads that our LBs and DBs were making on simple QB waggles.
  22. Did anybody hear what Shanahan said after the loss last night? Dear lord, he's already given up on his team and said he will start making personnel decisions from this point on.
