  1. Exactly my thoughts. Exactly. Wasn't it 3rd and 11?
  2. We were up 20+ points. Our defensive scheme at that point was to keep the clock running. Who cares about the final stats, we dominated the game and won. That's all I care about.
  3. According to ProFootballFocus--- 11) What constitutes a “stop” or “offensive failure?” It’s when an offense fails to get: 40 percent of the required yards for another first down on first down 60 percent of the required yards for a first down on second down A first down on third or fourth down I think he's had a great year. He's not gonna dominate every single snap, but neither is anyone else in the NFL. He's had his downs towards the beginning of the year but I think he's been a lot better recently.
  4. Freddie is awesome. Works his tail off every single play. Constantly getting banged up but continues to play hard and tough. Love that guy.
  5. Just heaving it up and hoping TJ came down with it. Earlier in the game, Gilmore had great coverage on Holmes and Holmes made the exact same catch on a Geno pass that got caught up in the wind. EJ saw a free rusher off the edge and just tossed it.
  6. His acceleration was ridiculous. He has that long sprinter's stride that torched right by Cromartie.
  7. I think it was after his second field goal went right down the pipe, he just stood there and started laughing. It's almost like he had no idea where the wind was blowing and just tried to pound it as hard as he could.
  8. And did you see what route Goodwin was running all day? 5 yard hitches. Cromartie plays way off and they get easy completions for EJ. Once Cromartie gets comfortable, BAM! 45 yard TD.
  9. I like leasing. My parents gave me their old van years ago and when I graduated from college I went to Toyota and looked at the Camry's. They gave me 4,000$ for my used van, also a 1,000$ rebate for graduating from college so my first three years of payments were $139.99. I couldn't pass that up right out of college for a brand new Camry. I'm currently on my second lease, with another Camry and I've loved both cars. Payments have gone up the second time around but $255.00 a month still isn't bad. I like not having the headache of worrying about repairs, oil changes, etc. The mileage would be the only thing that might concern someone, but I don't go anywhere near my limit so I'm fine.
  10. Totally agree, his quick awareness of where the throw was going and his closing speed, tackling was perfect. I love the way he plays. He has far exceeded many expectations and I could see him being an effective slot CB for years to come. I think two weeks ago, PFF had him as the 3rd best nickel CB this year. Not sure where he's at now.
  11. Get there as early as you can so you can enjoy the whole experience. Public lots around the stadium open at 9am and that's usually when the fun begins. There are several ways out of the stadium area, so it depends on where you're staying. I used to park in Lot 2 but that was before the new parking rules. Wherever you park, you'll have a good time, no doubt.
  12. Man, millions of nude men with only socks over their junk. Remind me never to visit that town.
  13. Every year on my b-day I get a direct message from mead. It's always appreciated. Here's one back at you, mead... Happy Birthday!
  14. It's tough to make plays when you're playing a QB who can put the ball wherever he wants whenever he wants. That slant TD to Lance Moore on Robey couldn't have been covered any better. Thad fumbled twice to give the Saints two short fields and our defense held strong which led to two missed field goals. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the way we're playing defense (besides the DEF breakdown where Hughes was covering Stills, I really wish the broadcast would've looked into that play more in depth). Everybody out there are professionals, not everyone is gonna be perfect on every single play. Some of you guys have these expectations that we are gonna go and light the world on fire with a 4th string PS QB, rookies all over the field, a banged up secondary, and a banged up backfield. Not to mention one of the toughest away venues in the league. I want to see them win too, but realistically our back was against the wall from the start. We have a bright future with a great rookie draft class. Let's keep playing hard, building confidence, and see where it takes us. In my opinion, turnovers and penalties are what lost us this game...as it seems to be a recurring theme every week. Saints produced three first downs due to penalities. Against Drew Brees and that offense you cannot allow them second opportunities, they'll take advantage and that's exactly what they did.
  15. Unrelated to this thread besides seeing him on the injury report...Roman Harper follows me on Twitter. No idea why, but whatever.
  16. I read on ProFootballFocus that Robey has allowed only 0.54 yards per coverage snap in the slot. Apparently third best in the league. The guy is small, but he seems to just stick to guys and make plays.
  17. That's a great stat. Watching the game, you could tell it was only a matter of time before they got to the quarterback. Mario was just overpowering Martin and it was only a matter of time before he broke through. He was awesome yesterday when we needed him.
  18. Leading the league in tackles and interceptions 6 weeks into the year is pretty impressive.
  19. From what I heard, the mother just called up AP a couple months ago to tell him that he was the father of the boy. Peterson apparently had already planned to take a trip down there sometime later this year to spend some time with the boy. Unfortunately, and tragically, that's never gonna happen now. Horrible story, just disgusting.
  20. I will question the decision of having Gilmore out there. Cincy identified that he couldn't tackle with that club on and ran two big WR screens to his side. If he's able to wrap up, those are completely different plays.
  21. If he slides like a baseball player, Kiko goes right over the top of him.
  22. Spectacular double-team and seal on Ngata, with Urbik getting to backside LB. We run almost this exact play at the modified level, Pro Blast. Nice to see a basic blocking scheme and run play develop into an easy 10 yard gain. Smash mouth football.
