  1. Yep, the logic of this entire "Has won, can never do it again" argument is completely flawed and doesn't follow. Its a more reasonable argument to say I don't like Cowhers stupid face and his crying and kissing players.
  2. Such an easy answer, how can the NFL allow its players to conduct Illegal activities, they cant. Do I care if they smoke? That is not my decision
  3. Add Lydell Sargeant DB Penn St later this week
  4. On the whole topic I can only add this, since the last time we made the playoffs the Colts, Ravens, Bucs, Cards and Patriots have turned their pitiful teams into superbowl teams. Teams that lose consistantly without regret or recriminations can only count on one thing, adding the prefix perennial to their "loser" title.
  5. Sure, if you are a Shakesperian character or someone from southwest Ohio
  6. Down to earth? Is this the same guy that pulled a gun on his father after we drafted him?
  7. thats my story and I am sticking to it. We have been making them look elite for years
  8. He kept talking about waiting his turn for playing time, BS, he must have thought it was the opponents defensive turn to out work him for the ball. If he catches balls Josh Reed sits period. There is no comparison on who the QB wants to throw the ball to, the 6'5" guy beats the 5'10" guy as a target every time. I really do hope he does learn a lot from T.O. so that the Bills can use him instead of wasting draft picks on skill guys when they need offensive linemen so badly.
  9. If Hardy had any real problem with giving up his number I am sure somebody will tell him that the numbers are for the players.
  10. You could look at it this way too, Lee Evans is the best WR to share the field with T.O. since Jerry Rice
  11. I think Evans is one of Buffalos 4 greatest wrs in the last 30 years. That said, the AFC east has elite defensive backs and with a little help they can pin any single player to the mat. With a second threat on the other side of the field Evans will not disappear with the extra attention from the other team.
  12. When I say odd man out I mean that they wont be throwing the ball to Parrish on third down anymore. They wont throw 3 straight fade patterns in the corner of the endzone for Hardy to get outworked by a smaller db and, Johnson (who will probably never develop, and the only reason we are saying his name at all is that he outplayed our 2nd round bust Hardy) wont be even a 3rd option on goal to go plays. Players like Jenkins who make league minimum and play special teams dont need to worry about their jobs. Steve Tasker proved as long as you fire your body into any situation with reckless abandon on every play you dont need to catch a pass until you are 30.
  13. Another thing Evans is going to miss over there this year is all of his former buddies on the other teams. Not only will he not draw double, he wont get the opponents best player on every play either.
  14. Just thinking the unheralded young guy with questionable talent can wait a little while we win some games.
  15. The assumed tenacity just as much a fantasy as his healthy speedy recovery. If I can wish him skill, I can wish him well.
  16. Gotta say though, if James Hardy had half of Evans tenacity on a jump ball we dont even think about signing T.O.
  17. I am fairly certain that the 4th receiver has job security. The odd man out in my mind is Roscoe Parrish. Who would you field as the 3rd wideout? Parrish or Josh Reed? As I said earlier nobody in the league will double Evans with a future HOF wr on the other side.
  18. So what you are saying is that you think a late round draft pick (Johnson 22 years old) deserves a chance to maybe develop while we rot in the AFC cellar for a couple more years rather than make a move that helps now? I will go out on a limb and say that Owens at 35 will have a better season this year than any two Johnson ever has combined. On paper there is no way Evans draws a single double coverage.
  19. Sorry, is this supposed to be where we reward soft football players?
  20. I would take it even further and give T.O. the number right off James Hardy's barely trying back, based on the way he goes after a ball in the air he won't even utter a wimper.
  21. Does anybody really believe that T.O. and his 5 catches per game over his career is going to somehow take away from Lee Evans Stellar 3.7 catches per game? The only effect of T.O. bringing his ego to Buffalo is that the team will now have 1 total ego (apologies to Jason Peters).
  22. I met Ralph outside of Sullivan stadium in Foxboro Mass 20 years ago and was convinced he was well on the road to demensia. How he is still responsible for his own bowels let alone an NFL franchise baffels me.
