  1. We did have other stud OLs and Wolford was a beast. But even in that case, Kelly was acquired first and we built around him. A QB is the cornerstone of any franchise, not a LT and def not a RT. Anyone who thinks the bills will pass on a franchise QB to take a OL is not taking their medication.
  2. If the Bills are able to take what they believe to be a franchise QB they will take him. There will be no discussion of taking a OL. The reality is the Bills have had terribly inconsistent QB play sine Kelly retired. The answer isnt on the roster now. The Bills, in their heyday, didnt have a franchise LT. Can you name the LT who was on the Saints when they won the super bowl? it was a backup LT. Think they wouldve won with a backup QB???? THe NFL is a QB driven league and if the best QB is there you take him.
  3. pryor is terrible and does not project well in the NFL. He's an outstanding college QB mainly bc he can run past guys who wouldnt make an NFL practice squad. Oh yea, he's not great throwing the ball either.
  4. Its one of those braces you see players wear after a knee injury. Many OL in college are req to wear them for protective purposes. True - just wondering if mallett has a lot of injuries, foot knee and shoulder concussion which if true would be a lot. Bradford had serious injuries too i know. Ive tried to watch games with the up and coming QBs but I've got to be honest Mallett's backup looked awesome if not better in his limited play. I really like his mechanics.
  5. Mallett's backup looked just as good as him, and has a better delivery. Granted its only spot duty. Why does mallett wear a knee brace and shoulder brace on his non throwing shoulder?
  6. good breakdown. STill i think its tough to grade OL when the reviewer doesnt know the schemes and assignments. What looks like a blown block might actually be the OL letting him go so RB can pick up etc etc. Pretty thorough job.
  7. Nope, heard it directly from the guy who worked on it. good try though. How about you write this down...... when RW finally passes youll see that my earlier posts are true. If not im sure the ever positive you will be sure to point out how wrong i am.
  8. A WR is required to make reads on the snap of the ball. That can determine if he runs over the middle or not. So he could refuse to run over the middle if he watned to. Of course the OC posited a question that simply cant be answered.
  9. hey im all with you. I dont know the plan, but i spoke with someone who helped draft the structure of it and thats the general idea, ralph passes and the team moves through the legal system based on the structure and the team stays.
  10. Yea i said this many times in other threads. There is a plan in place and it keeps the team here.
  11. THats not even close to accurate. They were playing a 3-4 for a good amount of the snaps. the 40 front you thought you saw was an extra DL in place of an OLB giving a 40 look. They still had the same gap responsibilities etc as they would in a 3-4. Read the postgame comments and youll see why this is true. Identifying a defense cant be made by simply looking at number of DL and guys with hands down.
  12. Yes this is true. Many many many more teams win with outstanding QB play and lesser lines. btw the saints won with a backup LT last year. I think the main point is, its so much harder to find a #1 QB than it is to build the OL so you need to take advantage of a 1 or 2 spot in the draft. Sure he might be a bust, but its your best shot. There is no way this team selects an OL or LB in that draft position.
  13. i know not sure what you are getting at. That he made two bad moves there? I see the criticism of drafting another RB but Spiller was best player available. 99 out of 100 GMs take the best player avaialble. Thats what you do, esp when one of your RBs in 30 years old.
  14. One good move aside from the two good moves you referenced? Really trying to make a point huh? One good move is not listening to you for player personnel moves. Or how about getting two picks for your 3rd RB ......
  15. Have you ever played sports before ? You are clueless. For example, Randy moss moved because he was an bad presence. In the NHL Sheldon Souray was sent down and not even allowed to play on his own AHL team because the Oilers were worried he'd negatively impact the youngsters. Its a reality in pro sports whether you thinks its bogus or not.
  16. im not an apologist. Peters was good, but it looks like he may have been overrated. He has not performed well since being traded. As for pissing off best players.... do Evans, Jackson, Moorman, and any other best player seem pissed off? No. For the record every FO has disputes with players. GB/Favre, NE/Moss, SD/Jackson merriman, we can go on. There are many credible points against the FO, but the one you are putting forth on Peters isnt one of them.
  17. No question the front office has made poor and ill advised decisions. But Peters is not one, he hasnt been great for philly since we traded him and by all accounts was not a good locker room presence.
  18. It was a modified 3-4 not a 4-3. Changed personnel but still had same gap assignments.
  19. Right and he is attached ni the philly media for being lazy and uninspiring. He also leads the NFL in penalties for OL. PFW is a lot of things, but they are not known for reasonable analysis.
  20. I was there, i watched the game. Yea he did miss some passes, kinda like all NFL QBs do. I dont think hes the answer but right now hes a band aid. Brohm has shown absolutley nothing to warrant playing over fitz right now. You have to show it in practice first. If Brohm was, he'd be playing. what is mindboggling is the constant brohm ball washing on this board. The guy is a long shot to even make the roster next year (assuming we draft a QB). I guess its because he hasnt proven to the fans how inept he has been.
