Nope, not buying this story. Wouldn't your friend's bro's cousin just be your friend's cousin? -
FORBES: 7 Pro Teams on Verge of Collapse
Cereal replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought I saw an article around here recently that stated Detroit was the only NFL franchise with a net loss last season. -

Excited to see what Aaron Williams will do.

Nice list. Looking at it, you notice that with the exception possibly Stevie (just my opinion), all these guys have the team-first, in-it-for-the-long-haul type of attitude that makes them so likable. Haha. I was trying to guess who the second Bill was and Wilson was my guess too. Then, seeing the list, I suppose I should have realized that Reed/Troy would be at the top. Good for Wood though, it warms my heart to see him develop so well. Well-said in the article, too, about getting to that "second level" of blocking for those screen-pass type plays.

Haha well played. 17-2 baby!!!!!!!?

I will give you my house if the Texans make 12-4. And kiss you on the kips if the Bills make 12-4!

if you could have 1 ex player as a coach

How about Alex Van Pelt as QB coach? -
The answer people are stating is that: without the $100M, the stadium is not good enough to support the team, and the Bills will have to move out of Buffalo.

Welp, the Wilson article "ripping Toronto" cites the following: http://nationalpost.stats.com/fb/story.asp?i=20111026131634782764508 And I agreed initially that NYS may be pissed at Ralphie boy for taking away the cincome tax for one game, but let's look roughly at the numbers: Bills' total payroll is around the median, $111M. The personal income tax is around 8% The taxes the state gets for the one game a year would be ~$111M/team/year * 2 teams/game / 16 games/year * ~0.08 = ~$1.11M Is that ~$1.11M a lot of money to the state? I don't know. EDIT: That Salary link is from 2009 apparently. So it could be a bit more than that now.

Will be the only time this season we get it in Virginia! Until the playoffs, of course.

Fixed for you. Endearing how much the media loves him though...

Weird. So that's what he meant by "HALF the earnings are taxable in NYS"? That seems fishy to me. If I (mere working man) work in PA and am sent to a site visit in OH for a week, I don't pay OH taxes... I'd be curious to know what they do for the London and Toronto games.

I'd never thought about the income taxes part of it. Do the Jersey teams pay NY taxes or NJ? The Skins pay DC taxes or MD?

Has anyone been using the new "official" Buffalo Bills Mobile App for this season? Link here: http://www.buffalobills.com/fans/mobile-app.html I'm not the most experienced smartphone user, but I can tell you that it's very SEXY! The interfaces are easy to use, look GREAT, and of course sport our Bills' "new" blue and red. The real-time stuff is money, but the other features also make it really easy to follow, with everything just kind of right there in one spot. Anyone else have any thoughts? Just thought I'd share during the bye week! Go Bills! -Cereal

Anyone else notice how much ESPN had Sanchez's snap count mic'ed up? Balanced it louder than the crowd noise.

Thanks for posting. This was me when I was a kid, too!: I also emailed him once, part of a Boy Scout merit badge requirement or something, haha.

I voted other -- I think we'll be surprised to see at least two big RECEPTIONS from Brad Smith. Not sure where he'll be lined up at the start of the play, however; I'm not psychic.

You stole the words right out of my mouth, and probably out of many others' mouths as well...

Nice. NFL.com's got us at 6: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82309025/article/raiders-49ers-surge-in-rankings-after-big-week-5-victories?module=HP11_cp They actually have a little blurb about each team this week.

Bills @ Giants: National Game on CBS
Cereal replied to Dorkington's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haha. You're got the one who got MY hopes up FIRST! Just wanted to clarify... Same here. Down in southwestern VA, they've been showing Carolina more this year, which I'm not sure helps my chances. But I'll be crossing my fingers, too. -
Bills @ Giants: National Game on CBS
Cereal replied to Dorkington's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
SHORT REPLY: Those of us in the typical Ravens market will NOT see a 1pm CBS game locally, so BUF@NYG WILL NOT BE TELEVISED. EXPLANATION: This week (Week 6), FOX has the doubleheader, meaning that by contract, they will show a 1pm game AND a 4pm in all areas. So CBS, by contract, can only show ONE game that afternoon in any given market. If the local area coverage is the 4pm game, CBS won't show a 1pm game. CBS chooses to air either the early game OR late game depending on the market. For instance, the last time FOX was awarded the doubleheader, in Week 3 (see http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2011/wk3.html), you would only see one of the eight games listed under the Week 3 CBS map. Virginia Beach area apparently is in the Baltimore market, so for them, no 1pm game that week, so that CBS can show BAL@STL at 4pm.
