Hahaha, yes, definitely Gil. So sad and demoralized.

This means that NE*, MIA,and NYJ all played the NFC representative in each of the past seven seasons as well. I would be interested to see their records against those opponents over the same span.

"the other playoff" - playing for draft position

I'm all for winning out, just as the OP qualifies that he is the same. No reason to hate on him for looking at the scenarios. I thought it was interesting, thanks for posting. -
I hope someone sat down after the game and told him not to be discouraged... As others have said, the Jags were picking on him all game; he's probably a little bit frustrated! But yeah, it'd be tough to be disappointed, given it was his first start.

As a Tech alum... I don't know if I'd rather just have him leave and move on, or have him come back and get another chance to have a good season. He has struggled so much this season, it was actually similar to watching Fitz just completely lose his confidence. He still misses many easy passes with zero pressure. While Logan Thomas is a physical specimen at ~6'7", and can move bodies at the college level, he certainly has no future as an NFL QB. He came to Tech to play tight end, and did not want to play QB, although obviously they eventually convinced him to rise to the challenge. There have been some great moments with LT at Tech, but I don't see any value in an NFL team spending a draft pick on him.

Why is no one giving any love to Chan for the kneeldown?

Was just about to post this... under "Sportmanship note" halfway down: http://espn.go.com/espn/playbook/story/_/id/8421050/the-replacement-referees-losing-control-coaches-players-worse-blown-calls -
I was trying to find highlights for this game a year or two ago and I think I failed. Maybe they'll come up somewhere after last night's travesty. First Music City Miracle Part Two on Sunday, now this.... what's next?

Cowboys win, 30-13?

I think it was a perfectly productive post to simply state for others that it's really a few more bucks than $4.

Note that shipping is minimum $9.99, unless you pick it up yourself in person in Orchard Park.

Tom Brady*, anyone? Hands down best player of the past decade. Kidding, of course.

Awesome! Those new Nike (practice) jerseys are lookin' pretty fly. Don't these guys stick around for graduation? I know VT's was today, and I'd bet many others are this weekend as well. No time to waste when you're trying to make a living as a pro athlete, I suppose!

Interesting, thanks for this post. So... For the first half of the season, the state of Arizona is three hours behind Buffalo because the state does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Does this mean that Miami and Buffalo (who both play @SF and @AZ) would for sure play @AZ after DST ends on Nov. 4? For what it's worth, I did check this schedule leak, and we are @AZ in September (three-hour difference) and the Fish are @AZ in December (two-hour difference). So... what's the point of the policy Vader outlined above if we still travel "three hours" for both of our away non-conference games? Also, it seems like logistically they should certainly be able to schedule it so that we rotate @SEA and hosting Seattle. I guess that this true "fair" rotation would have been set in place starting in 2010 then, so things wouldn't necessarily be continuous with 2008.

That was a pretty funny little article. Searched for it, but all I could find was......

I just noticed that all 16 NFL games in Week 17 are divisional matchups. Last year was the same way. Anyone got any dirt on this? It makes sense that they'd schedule it like this, but I'd just be interested to know if the NFL released any explanation on it. It was the same way in the 2010 season as well, but not before that.

I don't mean to be an ass by simply posting a google search result, but there were a few interesting options I found, https://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&source=hp&q=nfl+playoff+pool+online&pbx=1&oq=nfl+playoff+pool+online&aq=f&aqi=g-v1g-j1&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=8184l9017l4l9432l6l2l0l4l4l0l169l287l0.2l5l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&fp=1b8acf8b4c489b91&biw=1366&bih=577 That first one looks pretty legit, depending on what you're looking for. http://runyourpool.com/NFL-Playoff-Pools-Power-Ranking.cfm Let us know what you find!

If Jacksonville moves to LA, I say they simply switch spots with NFC West's St. Louis.

Anyone ever been to Blue Monk (referenced but not visited by the author in the link above)? Thoughts?

As an ex-pat (grew up in Rochester), I feel that it's a way to keep in touch with home. I became a much more dedicated/hardcore/etc. fan on the day I changed my permanent address from Rochester after college. I am proud of the fanbase (well... sometimes) with which I share the ups and downs (well... mostly downs). I ENJOY being a Bills fan. Part of this is not getting too invested emotionally, and balancing it with sources of pleasure in life other than the Bills.
