In the grand scheme of things, the only real difference between ML and Plax, is ML didn't shoot himself. The possession is a huge issue, especially to those of us who 'want' law abiding gun owners so we don't get all of our rights yanked because of knuckleheads and wrong do'ers In the end, the best ML can do is serve out the suspension and embrace what the commish is trying to do and maybe even set an example that when you screw up, you man up and don't run to your agent and lawyer to draft an appeal for something you wrongfully did. I want him there as much as anyone opening night, but enough is enough with these guys already getting away with exponentially more than any of us common folk ever could, then turning around and crying that losing 3 paychecks is "unfair" Anyone that reverts back to the "well 'so and so' got this punishment" really needs to learn the "lead by example" mantra. Otherwise penalties get less and less severe which breeds more bad behavior without fear of actual consequence

Just received a Yahoo IM from a source deeeeeeep within stating that Peters is to be dealt for similar to what the Broncos got for Cutler. This is from so deep that Dick himself is going to release a statement by weeks end prior to the deal explaining the terms

There's some real potential for the young leadership on this team. They just need success to stay motivated and the future could be bright...sure we have our haters out there, but for the past 2-3 years I have seem glimmers and have hope for the long term if we can keep some of these guys together

Without adding a new thread, or digging up an archived post...just quickly, would anyone stop being a fan or be tremendously upset (economic issues aside for the area) if they moved to Toronto??? The players lately, and this story is more backing, that the players are latching on to that city and it can provide the economic firepower to maybe push the team back into the competitive scene...perhaps... Personally I would not want to see them go or see Toronto in front of their name. At the risk of sounding biased, I want to see the NFL stay in the US. The CFL hasn't produced the excitement the NFL has, and MLB proved that American sports belong in America (Washington Nationals) I just don't know how long the rush will last long term if Toronto got an NFL team. Plus it always sucks to see a historic team to a city move for money reasons, stadiums name changes for that matter as well
