What was that all about anyway? I understand why you want guys with good character on your team, and seems like the current Bills squad is full of talented guys with good character. In retrospect, it really does appear they made alot of draft picks solely on how nice a guy was. They dug a deep hole that Chan seems to be climbing this team out of. But back to the topic, Breese is amazing but not the piece the Bills are looking for due to what he would cost. Drafting a franchize qb will be the next step if this team proves to be solid on the field this year. And I truly believe if the Bills stay healthy this year, they will be a playoff caliber team. Finally, a roster with enough NFL talent to compete..its been so long.

I dont think I'm in too much of a disagreement with you. I dont think a guy spearing a qb should be legal, I dont think guys should go after knees, and I even agree with the no launch rule in th secondary. But I think if a receiver comes across the middle and concentrating on the football, he should be lit up within the rules of the game. Like the Nigel Bradam hit that was floating around here for a while. The hit I saw on colt ny James Harrison was dirty in my opinion. He stuck his crown right into colts helmet. The Nigel Bradam hit was clean in my option. Full force, used his shoulder, didn't leave the ground. How do you feel about the Bradham hit? -

I saw the hit on Colt, I didn't see the other hits. If he didn't lead with the crown if his helmet and used his shoulder, would you feel the same way? Again, I'm just referencing that one hit. Because I haven't seen video of his hits, I cant really comment on Harrison in particular. But i would like to comment on the game as a whole. I played football from the time I was 7 until I had a career ending tare my sophomore year of college. And the biggest part of the game was the physical part. Let's say your toughest linebacker takes on a star runninback in the hole and got plowed. It affects the team mentally. Oh ****, this team is tough roles through the back of your head. Conversely, if your linebacker crushes the guy, or crushes their fullback, it can get you pumped and ready to play. The physical part of football separates the game from any other. And the physical part of football has a huge impact on the mental part. I am ok with equipment changes, even not allowing DBS to launch themselves and leave there feet. But I wouldn't consider any of these guys defenseless. They chose to play the game and know there could be a price to pay. All of these guys suing the league over concussions, implications that football had something to do with jr Seaus death, it's all BS. People need to be responsible for the decisions and choices they make. I had 3 shoulder surgeries, and two surgeries on a flexor tendon in my hand. I am not supposed to put more than ten pounds of pressure on the replaced tendon. I've never been paid to play football, and I wouldnt trade that experience for the world. Limited mobility and all. These guys are living out a lot of people's dreams and getting paid for it. If they can't handle it, they should choose to be accountants or teachers. -

As is chandler81. I dont think anyone should make condescending posts. Even "high profile" posters. Are you trying to earn brownie points or something? -

If not, wouldnt that make him the only player not in town for voluntary work outs? I thought I read on here before that everyone on the team was in Buffalo. At the time, Stevie had his baby and would be in town shortly. -

I think you've summed it up. Fitz is here to stay until the Bills draft the franchise qb. And then there is the 1% chance Fitz gets hurt, VY resurrects his career and Disney makes a movie about a former champions battle w depression who finds his way back to mental stability and winning. -

I think a qb competition is situational. In the Bills current case, I dont think an open qb competition is what's best for the team. For example, if Gailey decided to leave the starter position open on the depth chart in the locker room during training camp and split reps. The guys on the team believe in Fitz and believe he's their leader. He's earned the spot and should only get better this year with a full offseason under his belt. (Disclaimer: I am not implying anything. This is just for the sake of conversation on the topic) However, nothing would be better than VY having a good camp and pushing Fitz to keep his performance up. I doubt Thigpen pushes Fitz in any way. If you took Fitz out of the equation, an open qb competition would be great in that situation. Some people might disagree. They might believe an open qb competition w VY and Fitz is a good thing. -

Ha. I love video games. But I watch espn because I don't have much of a choice if I want to watch a sports program. And to be honest, with all of the crappy reality tv out there, ESPN is a much better alternative to that garbage. When it comes to the Bills, I like to come here though. If posters didn't try to correct grammar or constantly flame people to see who has the bigger "Internet" balls, this sight would be close to perfect for a Bills fan. -

That would be really great. In the meantime, I like that he's building a solid team. The Bills have ruined some rookie qb careers over the years. A lot of the qbs that have become franchise guys, (rothlesberger, e manning, flacco) were drafted into teams with a great run game and a great defense. I am not saying JP or Trent have the talent of the afore mentioned, but it's hard to develop a qb when he's getting crushed or on the run most of the time. Edwards showed some flashes of being a good qb, but he got scared after taking some big hits and dumped the ball to marshawn every other pass play. If last year was Fitz' rookie year, would you feel any different about him? The guy has a lot of years left to play qb. This will be his make or break year. -
Gailey on QB Tanney

Ok, then why did they pretty much stop running it last year? Some games, they didn't run the wildcat at all. Eat your free clue for breakfast. The wildcat is not a winning formation. It's a gimmick for teams that don't have the talent to run a pro style offense. Not one team in the AFC or NFC championship games used the wildcat last year. What does that tell you? It's arbitrary whether you agree with me or not. Facts are facts. The Bills barely ran the wildcat last year, and brad smith didn't return many kickoffs. Why pay the money for a guy that can give you maybe 3 plays a game. Now, you've got a clue. -

He's a talented player, but I'm not sure how he fits in the offense. He made a couple big 3rd down conversions last year. But he also should have thrown the ball a few times to wide open guys. The bills didn't run the wildcat very much at all. So if brad smith is not returning kickoffs due to the new rule change, and he's not running the wildcat, maybe they should coach him up on becoming a better receiver. Otherwise, look for a trade. -
Anyone Buy a Nike Jersey yet?
Williams+Williams+Williams replied to spurbs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dhgate doesn't have any Bills jerseys available. Did their jersey sales get shut down? I can afford the 250 dollar jersey, but I'm not paying 250 for a jersey. That's ridiculous.
