The impression that I get is that Marrone wants to make the football decisions as the head coach and wants the players he wants playing and doesn't give a damn about the Front offices opinion. If he lives or dies by his personnel decisions he wants to make those calls and I respect that all front office opinions and pressure can kiss his Italian ass....and mine for that matter....nice work ST. My problem with that is he's just not a sufficient game manager because he simply won't fire the ball downfield enough. You can't fix the accuracy issues. They tried with Downing working round the clock with him on mechanics. It simply didn't work. He has all the physical attributes you want but he simply can't progress through his reads well enough. Look at the way his receivers look at him when he overthrows them by 5 yards. He's a likeable kid and everyone wanted him to be the guy....he just isn't ready to be. IMHO I also think this benching will be the last you see of him.

+1 the line play didn't always give him a pocket but he had plenty of chances to throw the ball and he chose to dump it off that is my problem with him he simply will not throw the ball downfield. I don't know for sure if it's his OC that is telling him not to but you have to throw the ball downfield period. He just can't do it.

I said I would watch until game 4 and see what he does. He has accuracy issues after 10 yards. He doesn't ever step into a throw and "rainbows" every pass causing him to be insanely inaccurate. I was waiting for him to lose us a game this year and he absolutely did against houston which was very winnable. His WR dropped passes which didn't help but he made some horrible throws and a few bone headed decisions which cost the Bills this game. I think Hackett and co call run run 3 yd pass because they know EJ can't hit the broadside of a barn with an elephant after 10 yds. My question was how long was this kids obvious accuracy issues gonna take to be exposed? Opposing DC's will easily gameplan to take away the short field and dare EJ to beat them downfield which he has proven he cannot do. It's not fair to the defense and the offensive playmakers on this team that the QB should be holding them back. The talent on offense and the defense are good enough to win right now. Orton may not be the answer but neither is EJ. But the Dougs are to chicken **** to make the move and here we are .

EJ and Doug because Geno is even more inconsistent than EJ and a pick machine. Rex is a great Defensive coach but our D is good with Schwartz so there's a push on the coaches

I have EJflutterstheballandplaysscareditis...and lately it has become very acute

K maybe not never but you have to admit he throws most passes either high or they flutter. I watched Can Newton throw a laser to Kelvin Benjamin last night and would love to see EJ do that more. I want to see him take command and not just try not to make mistakes.
