  1. Maybe he declined b/c his team will be playing next week and game planning for it's opponent after this weekends game.
  2. Suh is a beast, he dominated everyone including Texas. He'll start immediately and has been exposed to solid defensive coaching via the crazed Pelini brothers, who are defensive witch doctors. There is no way Suh takes plays off or Bo would just go crazy. He's ready for the NFL now.
  3. This non-dedication to winning garbage argument is getting old. This decade has been tough but they've always wanted to win. Things just didn't work out, some bad coaching decisions, some bad hires etc... When Donahoe and Williams took over they had to get out of cap jail but then they got close. They signed premiere free agents (Spikes, Adams), made the trade for Bledsoe. They were trying to win. They were active in free agency. Things didn't work out. I've been pretty disappointed this last decade but at no time did I ever feel like the organization wasn't dedicated to winning.
  4. That is just plain stupid. Really, really stupid.
  5. who has turned them down besides Shanny?
  6. But I still don't get it (why you are pissed). You say they are acting typical and that bothers you. Well, Ralph's going after a big name coach and willing to offer big bucks. That's not typical. Then they hire a GM that is as qualified talent evaluator that is out there. he just so happens to have been in the organization during some good years and came back last year. that's not typical. You're anger seems to be clouding your judgement. There are plenty of things to be mad about when it comes to the Bill but this isn't one. However, you are entitled to your opinion.
  7. What are you saying? I don't get it. There was something wrong with the Owner and the GM/COO talking to the two highest profile available coaches a month ago with out consulting the public? Weren't people complaining that Ralph and Russ weren't doing anything after firing Jauron? This sort of stuff is ridiculous. It's pretty obvious they are interested in Cowher but it's not a sure thing so you move on with your list and interview the available candidates when you can. Are you pissed b/c you didn't get a season ticket holder call from Ralph telling you that he and Brandon are on the way to the airport in Ralph's Taurcedes to board a private jet to go talk to Cowher?
  8. Hmmm.... That would be a slightly awkward moment with Jim Harbaugh coaching the Bills and Jim Kelly watching from the sideline.
  9. Interesting quote from Chris Brown and why would he bother to say this if Cowher isn't in the mix? It's in the same ball park as Logan's info. He just makes some quick comments on Cowher after he reports Thurman put a shout out to Cowher on Twitter. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/01/07/t...-out-to-cowher/
  10. I think they have to interview Frazier now in case the Vikes make a SB run and then he won't be available until February
  11. Obviously there is tremendous reason to believe that this info. is bogus but it kind of jives w/what Florio is saying that Logan is saying. Take it for what it's worth. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...chasing-cowher/
  12. Thanks for pointing that out. There is a lot of revisionist history or short memories here. First of all Ralph hired Donahoe, who at the time was considered top notch. Nobody disapproved of this at the time. Then Donahoe brought in Modrak after year 2. Again, this was viewed as a great thing at the time. Ralph totally turned the operation over to Donahoe. Ralph was hands off for the first 1/2 of this decade. They did what they did and it didn't work out. We got close at 9-7 but things never materialized. Ralph reclaimed the President's title when Levy was hired as GM. But this complete lack of knowledge about the salary cap jail Butler put the team in before he left is almost funny. Ralph fired Butler b/c he wouldn't agree to a contract and Ralph thought that Dean Spanos had already been talking to Butler during the season. Let it go about completely blaming Ralph. Competent football people made some critical decisions from 2001-2005. Some worked and some didn't. The last few years were a product of the chaos that Donahoe created while Ralph was letting him run the franchise. Ralph has been afraid to hire someone outside b/c of what happened with Donahoe. Stop acting like the man has intentionally done this to the football team.
  13. Question.... Are you a long distance runner and have you read all of the studies that you just cited? You are kind of comparing apples to oranges b/c there are too may different variables when assessing football related injuries to running related injuries.
  14. Best case scenario would be to lure Marty out of retirement and have his son run the offense w/ the Assistant Head Coach title. That way it isn't a lateral move so the Jets can't ask for compensation. In the mean time Marty grooms his kid for HC job and then when he leaves slides up to the front office in a consultant's role. People talk about Marty and the playoffs, he lost to some pretty good teams(including the Bills 2 yrs.) and has been done in by fumbles(Byner and Hart after the Brady interception), the Drive and an extremely bad kicker in really cold KC temperatures(Lin Elliot). Also got screwed over on a bad call against Denver when Tony Gonzales hauled in a TD and they said he was out of bounds. Great coach.. they would take back in a second in KC. Problem is just doesn't sound like he's coming out of retirement.
  15. Thanks for making this post... "the Ralph is cheap" crap is getting old... It's a dumb argument and stance to take.
  16. good...I guess one less fan to complain constantly
  17. you are an idiot
  18. you really think this is status quo?? Explain that to me.. basically said that he wants an experienced head coach... also said that strength and conditioning was important... who did you want as GM and give some sort of evidence that would make your pick better than this one.
  19. So... I'm not sure what your pissed about. ESPN etc.. covering rumors about the Bills or Bills front office handling the media and supposedly not being forthright with the press. The reason there are more rumors is because there is way more media than 10-20 yrs. ago. I remember being in college in Binghamton and sitting at the Wegmans near the Oakdale Mall eating pizza and reading Shout magazine back in 1991. That was the only way you could get info. about the Bills. Media has blown up so obviously more rumors. As far as the Bills not being honest... I'm not sure how they have deceived us. They just haven't been any good. They have made bad decisions. Butler left.. Ralph got Donahoe and at the time everyone said it was a good decision. Ralph handed over the keys to Donahoe and he tried to build the team into a winner. We signed free agents all the time... see Takeo Spikes, Sam Adams, London Fletcher, Lawyer Milloy. The Bills have tried but things just haven't worked out. Same with the coaching hires. It is time for significant change that's for sure and I think it will happen. I'm a fan, a season ticket holder that lives 1000 miles away... I don't feel snowed by the Bills. It's not like I don't have an idea of how they are going to be going into the season(7-9 is usually a good guess these days). I always have the right to stop buying my tickets and stop getting the NFL ticket. We all do as fans. Take your own advice and let things play out.
  20. but we should take stock in somebody who makes over generalizations about the last 20 yrs. on a message board.... isn't the speculation the fun part of the board? Take your own advice and settle down and let people have some fun. If you don't like what your reading then just stop reading. BTW... Sal nailed TO coming to Buffalo and the Marcus Stroud trade before any national news outlets.
  21. Why would you seriously write something so stupid?
  22. uhmmm.... it will be 43 degrees and partly sunny on Sunday in KC. I think the game you reference is the 07 season. Explain to me how practicing in a snowstorm will help them out on most Sundays in the NFL. Does practicing in snow allow them to concentrate more and improve their muscle memory and technique? Bills teams have been practicing in that field house for a long time... I think almost 20 years. I remember the Bills getting beat by a guy named John Fourcade and the Saints circa... 1989 it was snowing. The Saints played and practiced in a dome. The Bills just aren't very good that's why they lose not b/c of the weather and where they practice.
  23. Hope your a$$ doesn't hurt too much after that tremendous fall off the band wagon chuck knox. Yeah, now tell me how you are a season ticket holder and you deserve the right to complain blah..blah...blah. You are either a fan or you're not.
  24. Ok... you idiots busting his a$$ for calling them the Chef's don't realize or remember the Snickers commercial from early this decade where the guy paints the Chief's end zone and forgets the "I" there by spelling Chefs. A lot of non Chiefs fans that live out here in Missouri and remember that commercial do the same. This board has become way too negative and not about the bills or tailgating or anything positive. If you are going to this game check out lot N we will be tailgating there and it would be great to hang with other displaced WNY'ers.
  25. Sorry pal, have lived in KC for 14 years and King Carl couldn't get out of here fast enough. Couldn't draft a d- lineman to save his life and never meant a second round pick he couldn't screw up. Although, Lamar Hunt trusted him and Ralph and Lamar were tight. King Carl's first pick for HC would be Marty Schottenheimer, so maybe you have something there.
