  1. The offense should have been fine this year. They were a top 10 offense the last two years. A downgrade at offensive coordinator and allowing our 2 starting WRs to leave is to blame for the lackluster performance.
  2. Do we win this game if Anthony Lynn was the offensive coordinator?
  3. In theory the offense should be fine. It was a top 10 offense the last 2 years. Losing Sammy hurts but the offense was fine during his injuries. I think this year will show whether we upgraded or downgraded our offensive coaching staff.
  4. I have a bad feeling that drafting Mahomes and keeping Sammy might have been the best move.
  5. I believe the lack of visits is due to the large amount of teams who are interested in drafting him but don't want others tears to know.
  6. Maybe I'm missing something, but wasn't Spiller one of the most productive players in football when utilized properly. He averaged 6 yards a carry and had the 2nd most yards after contact. Peterson was first. They shouldn't have drafted him but he was much better than several of our other first round picks. Flowers and McCargo being 2.
  7. He is great on special teams and his sacks came from winning one on one battles with offensive lineman. He will apply pressure in any system.
  8. We haven't been fine in 17 years, why are we fine now?
  9. When you draft a rookie QB it is best to have a strong line and effective running game. Is this the Bills plan?
  10. This is brilliant gamesmanship by the Patriots. They would much rather trade him for a bounty of picks this year than keep him on the roster for 1 more year then get nothing in return. If the put him on the trade block however, they would receive less in compensation. By saying that he is not for trade they are forcing QB needy teams to essentially over pay and outbid themselves to get a deal done. Teams like the Browns and Bears need to call the Patriots bluff.
  11. The Bills would have been a really good team last year if their defense was better. Ground and pound could have won a lot of games. I do think that Roman is a good offensive coordinator however.
  12. I agree, he does leave big plays on the field. He also leads our offense to a lot points, meaning he makes a lot of plays. Everyone has picked their side already, but I believe they should keep Taylor and draft a QB.
  13. I completely agree. If we would have given him the higher tenure he would have been a Bill for another season, but we still miss the playoffs. He would then become a free agent in March and would leave. Letting him walk literally did nothing. Now to be fair, the Bills thought they might make the playoffs, so it was a mistake, but a mistake that meant nothing.
  14. I don't think the patriots would be afraid to trade him within the division. I think they would be thrilled to get a first and hurt our franchise.
  15. I would offer a 5th. The Patriots would laugh at me and I would rest better knowing that I didn't offer too much for a QB who probably isn't that good.
  16. It looks probable that one of the two potentially great WRs will be available when the Bills pick at 10. I think they should focus on resigning their own players and sign free agents who were cut in order to receive compensation picks from the league.
  17. I remember about 8 years ago that there was a Rangers game watched by more people in Buffalo than New York City. I"m not talking about market share, but actual viewers.
  18. I think the sky is the limit for Zach Brown. He was a state champion wrestler who was clocked in the 4.3s during college. Similar to Jerry Hughes, sometimes it takes a couple of years to learn the game. I think he is best suited to play on the weak side where there are fewer blockers to shed. The Bills probably will not have the luxury of keeping everyone, so if he receives are larger than expected offer during free agency he might be gone.
  19. Why do the Bills have so much info leaked to the media?
  20. The guys on ESPN are speculating the deal would be somewhere in the neighborhood of a 2nd round pick this year and a conditional pick next year that would either be a 2nd or a 3rd. If another team or two got involved and a bidding war began the Browns might have to part ways with one of their first rounds picks. I have no idea how close to reality this speculation will be.
  21. It seems like the board is divided on whether Garoppolo is a good QB or not. I don't think he is but it will be fun to revisit this thread in a few years and find out who was right.
  22. I might. If he is released he is not accounted for when the NFL gives out compensatory draft picks. He has played WR at a very high level. It could potentially be a low risk high upside acquisition. It all depends on the price tag.
  23. I think this would be a huge mistake by the Cleveland Browns. The Patriots did a good job last season of hiding his flaws, but the offense with him running the show was simplified and most of his passes were either short or behind the line of scrimmage. The Patriots will be laughing at the league when they get a 2nd and 3rd pick for Jimmy. Because he is not very good. If he was they would keep him.
  24. If they let him go and spend money on other teams' players they will not get the 3rd round comp pick. If they let him go and resign their own players they would. I think that might be the better path.
  25. I'm sure he got advice from several people and made a decision after considering all opinions.
