MMQB: The Jets' Long Road To Sam Darnold
auburnbillsbacker replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How can anyone say this? Tyrod Taylor led the Bills to a top 10 offense 2 of his 3 years in Buffalo and ended the drought. Peterman showed that he was "clearly not ready" with his performance against San Diego. Tyrod played well in relief. -

And our regime started Nathan Peterman over Tyrod Taylor when Peterman clearly was not ready/talented enough. If they didn't know what Peterman was after months of practice I think it is possible that they might not be the best at evaluating QBs. I hope I'm wrong. -

The bills having interest in Josh Allen does not bod well for his future. -
More wins in 2018, Browns or Bills?
auburnbillsbacker replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Tyorld Taylor starts they will have more wins than we will. -
If he let Jim Schwartz run his defense the Bills would have made the playoffs his two seasons as coach and he would have been a hero in Buffalo. His vision of having on bully on offense really worked. The Bills had a top 10 offense in both points scored and yards those two years with Tyrod Taylor at QB. The transition away from the 4-3 killed him.

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
auburnbillsbacker replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best way to learn and improve is to play and get a majority of the reps in practice. Allen should start. The team isn't very good so he might as well make his mistakes this year when it doesn't really matter. -
AJ McCarron's Arm Strength
auburnbillsbacker replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember when everyone on here didn't want to draft D. Watson because of the low velocity of his passes? I do, even though most people on here now claim to have wanted Watson. I no longer care too much about how many MPHs a pass goes. -
Last year I was excited about our potential rookie QB having a pro bowl center, a pro bowl guard, and two bookend tackles protecting him on the offensive line. We just lost 3 out of the 4 with very questionable replacements. In addition, if Z. Jones doesn't really step up his game we are very weak at WR. I can't imagine a scenerio where our offense is good. When Allen finally sees the field he will have no chances for success and all of the haters on here will tear him apart. On the positive side, we have a lot of cap space and draft picks next off season. I just hope as fans were are not too judgmental. While I appreciate the effort put into the OP's post, I think high expectations can be dangerous.

RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming
auburnbillsbacker replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the bills should acknowledge that they aren't going to be great next season and name Allen the starter today. Let him learn from his mistakes before the talent is there to compete for a championship. -
Am I the only one? I'll take any of the top 6 QBs

I'm only interested in two of the top 6 in round 1. -
Who in the Hell Is Mel Kiper, Jr?
auburnbillsbacker replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only thing Mel Kiper needs to be his entertaining. His track record isn't much worse than most of the Bills GMs. -
Rob Johnson is still bitter after 20 years
auburnbillsbacker replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doug Flutie supporters must love Josh Allen. Flutie had a career completion percentage of 54.7%. -
Wasnt there a last post wins thread?

Rob Johnson is still bitter after 20 years
auburnbillsbacker replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rob Johnson's QB rating and points per game were real good his first 2 years in Buffalo. It is a very small sample size though. I think he could have succeeded had they committed to him. Flutie was so fun to watch his first season in Buffalo though. His 2nd season was sub par. -
Lance Zierlein compares Mayfield to Flutie.
auburnbillsbacker replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol. Your comment reminded me of the good old days. The Flutie supporters gave him all of the credit and the haters said we won because of our defense. I was was somewhere in the middle. I would take a 70 percent win percentage as well but Flutie wouldn't get there with our roster now. Maybe with our roster in 2 years. -

If he is Flutie he isn't worth a top 12 pick. -
Peter King:. Monday 4-16-18 column.

I agree. People had concerns about Goff, Wentz, and Watson as well. All 3 look like they will have good careers. -
Giants View Barkley as Near Perfect Prospect

I believe that the giants will take a QB at 2 and Brakley will not be taken in the top 4. -
Hanging on to 2019 1st round pick
auburnbillsbacker replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have the feeling that we do not have the ammo to get the QB we want. Dropping to 12 means not drafting Chubb, Nelson, or Barkley. In addition, our 22nd pick has very little value. I respect the fact that the Bills went all in to get the QB of the future this year. So many veterans were traded. It is just unfortunate that we our punished by last year's success. It makes me sick that teams like the Giants are bad when it counts. They got Eli the last time they were awful and will get his replacement this year. From 1986-present we have had zero top 2 picks.
