    I'd prefer just to groom a late round QB who fits your system as a backup.....but then again that would require running the same system more than 2 years in a row!

    I'd rather take a chance on an unknown or a draft pick and hope to catch lightning in a bottle like Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, or Derek Anderson (for one season at least). I'd rather go 0-16 and take a chance on someone than picking up a guy like Kitna who would only get you 6-8 wins. I'm sick of these 7-9 seasons. If we're going to miss the playoffs I'd rather miss them by a lot.

    Agreed. To me Kitna's shtick is like what would happen if a martian came to Earth and had only 48 hours to learn how the leader of an NFL team should act.

    I wouldn't mind signing him to a one year "prove-it" deal. It would be one less hole to fill.
