I'm pretty sure that Bucky Brooks was drafted as a speed wr then later converted to db since he couldn't catch. Bill Brooks' two 3rd down drops in XXVIII scuttled two Buffalo drives in Dallas territory. I can never forgive him for that. I do give him props for those huge twisted fingers.

Where did you read that? I seem to remember Paup loving his time in WNY and a SI story about him at the time saying same. Didn't he also approach the Bills to resign after the Jags released him? As for '94, it was clear the OL was not the same without Ballard and Wollford. Kelly was in decline and a possession receiver, Bill Brooks, was not a replacement for Lofton in his prime. The middle part of the season had some fantastic wins versus KC and Miami bracketed by some middling losses. They could not get traction.
