  1. No, how about a running back that can cram it down opponents throats. Shady is done and at best is a situational 3rd down back.
  2. I love his attitude and passion. Add a pounding RB to this offense and it has the potential to be very special.
  3. So you would cut an Ace Special Teamer to save 1.5 million? I just could never see that happening. In my opinion, McKenzie would be shown the door. Where the Bills are right now and the level of talent you have to go with a proven in Roberts.
  4. You are right- and don’t be surprised if he goes early in the 2nd. Running backs are slowly becoming more important again, especially rookie RB’s on cap friendly rookie contracts.
  5. Brandon was the bigger problem, Whaley was undermined at every turn- not saying that Whaley didn’t suck because he did!
  6. Staying where I am at so I haven’t looked. I wonder what the uptick is in season ticket sales this year?
  7. Yes, I do think that. There isn’t many teams with a ton of cap space left for a short term prove it deal. It will be interesting to see what he gets and re- hash this conversation ? Yes, plenty for our picks- and hopefully some of the remainder to get a true number 2 QB.
  8. I went Clyde Edwards but if Jonathon Taylor was an option I most likely would have selected him.
  9. Thats why its a prove it deal- he may be had in the 7-10 mil range. I think it will be tough seeing we need an upgrade at the 2 QB spot. There is plenty of options out there plus we have to leave room for draft picks and retaining our own.
  10. Or he recognizes others could be bored or just want an ear
  11. Good points- I cant see them cutting him. Who can we say is a better replacement that warrants any kind of dead cap and to bring onboard another big contract. Honestly, I think Carr is pretty damn good- once Chucky got there things changed.
  12. This is strange times with the supply of QBs available yet teams can’t afford them. Seems like their price tag will have to come down. As for Carr, I think the Raiders are stuck with him- his contract is hefty.
  13. Word on the street they may give up all their 1s to Cinci to roll into the top spot. They cant afford Carr and the Raiders would start who then?
  14. Duke had a collosal drop however he is making this team- number 6 receiver
  15. Lets not count out JA- he has improved drastically in the past 2 years. In my opinion motor is a 2, not a 1. If you had to rank him amongst all the backs in the league where would you put him?
  16. RB is a need for sure. Singletary is a great number 2 and he is shifty and elusive, but can’t hit the home run. Yeldon is a 3 all day- great on passing down and can get some chunks on the ground here and there however he runs too high and doesn’t get his pads down. We can’t place bets on the Rugby guy and must draft a RB rd 2-3. It is a deep RB crop this year.
  17. Depth throughout the roster except 2 areas- RB and QB. Lets address those and make a run!
  18. Ford will be moved to the interior
  19. They can if they trade Gilmore and a pick or 2 or some other package.
  20. Imagine the Bills during their 4 Super Bowl run without Thurman Thomas. We definitely need better play at the QB position to take the next step and an edge rusher will help also. When November hits and teams are beginning to have wear and tear, a big back can make a huge difference. Anyways, good conversation lets hope for a great year ?
  21. Titans were doing pretty good with Henry. Anyone who has played football understands the beating you take. As the season grinds on tackling is much more painful. Derrick Henry type backs can wear a D down and change the game.
  22. Correct- but 5th year options lead into contract negotiations as you know. It has to be ear marked for the future. I hope we lock Tre up for 4 years which takes him to his 8-9 year mark.
  23. He is a beast! I like him over Dobbins
