Agree with the OP...Fred has slowed considerably and it is easy to see. I think for the majority of fans it is hard to come to terms with that. FJ has been a true warrior but it is time to hang up the cleats or be purely situational next year.

Everything hinges on Denver right now. Green Bay at home is winnable. Oakland should be a win. We lose in Denver then we have to win out. maybe the Pats have everything locked and rest starters? Doubtful as the hoodie loves sticking it to us!

Coaches rise and fall with the play of their QB. Kap has had a horrific season. It would be a mistake for the niners to let him go. If they do I would love to see him go across the bay to Oakland, that team has alot of young talent.

Dude is ranked 34th right now out of QBs that have started. Teams have figured him out. He doesnt read defenses well and has been erratic with his passes. The most I would give for him is a Paulas Donut

-12 men on the field on 4th and short - stupid squib kick after we score and had some momentum, giving them the ball around the 40 -3 challenges that stood...however they were all pretty close -turnovers!!! Holy turnovers...esp the ones in the red zone! Am I excited we have a win, sure. But this team is sloppy sloppy sloppy. The Vikes are a bad team and we barely squeeked by. The coaching staff is JV and did anyone hear Marrone in his presser say "it's hard to win in the NFL"? Wow we have Jaron reincarnated!!!!

-Hacket has got to go, first and foremost...do I even need to list all the reasons? -love me some Fred, but he has certainly lost a step and it is time to insert Bryce Brown...why is this kid not playing? We gave up a 4th for him! -Our interior line cant block a soup sandwich, both run and pass. The holes they make in the run game are non existant. -CJ Spiller, zero vision, cant pass protect, doesnt break tackles, and just too much lateral running. - Ortons a stop gap, not shabby but not going to take us very far. -Please cut Lee Smith, he flat out cannot play football! -Our tackles really struggle against quality defensive ends in pass rush, but then again most do in this league. -lastly, back to my first bullet, if Marrone doesnt remove Hacket, he will be as good as gone if things dont get turned around. In the short term he may want to consider running the offense.

Don't fret, there will be more. Sad thing it is a league of parity and we have a majority of players above par compared to other teams...it comes down to 2 things, coaching and coaching....we have neither. There will be many more todays in the future with this staff. They are laughable, predictable, vanilla, and in way over there heads.

im only thinking in the now. Trust me winning the division would make this a magical season for sure.

The curse is lifted. We have won a few close ones on the road, got a new owner and if we beat the Pats is this curse finally lifted? We are a better team besides QB I hope we knock the snot out of them and end this once and for all.

Here is my take, for what its worth. - Keep playing solid Defense - Do just enough on offense, ball control - Solid special teams week in and week out - Get CJ and Goodwin in space - Win the turnover battle Yeah, I know thats all football 101 stuff, but this team has the roster top to bottom to do just that every week. If we hit all those checks in the box 80 percent of the time we can hang with the best of them and there is no reason we cant win the division. Minus a top qb (which is huge I know) we have the best roster in the division. So the pats crushed cinci! They always roll over when the spotlight is on them. The Pats dont scare me at all. Get in Bradys face all game!!!!

theres no development in EJ, he plays scared and hasnt even learned to set his feet when he throws. Im ok with benching him. Just because your drafted number 1 doesnt mean crap to me. He has had enough chances...good for Marrone for benching him. Maybe its a nice shot across the bow to EJ but I know one think, right now EJ is not even close to being an NFL qb

Sad thing is theres too much talent on this team minus the qb and guards....please start orton now and try to salvage this season
