  1. Yes, he is from Belle Glades- look at notable people under the wiki link or this link.https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/ThomDe04.htm
  2. Guy has a chip on his shoulder now
  3. If we werent so thin at wr I would say give him some opportunities returning punts. Wow- thats really cool. You must be very proud!
  4. My memory isnt the greatest anymore I think I may have. Sorry if I did. That sounds about right. That area produces some really good players.
  5. I bet- the nickname is Muck City. Glad to know these kids have football in their lives to keep em straight.
  6. I know! He had one heck of a game yesterday my friend!
  7. Deonte is yet another of the long list of NFL players from Belle Glades, Florida. From a young age it is common for the kids to chase rabbits out of the Cane Fields- most likely resulting in their agility being fine tuned with quit cuts and rapid stop/go needed to catch these elusive furry creatures. Also, both Benjamins (Carolina and LA Chargers) are from there as well. Kinda interesting and thought I would share. Go Bills. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_Glade,_Florida
  8. For a rookie he has been outstanding- if you watch him live at the game the kid can straight up play.
  9. Same with the Jets and 1/3 of the other teams in this league.
  10. I see your point I think- even with the drop off the NFL is still raining supreme. I dont see the 3 other major sports coming close to the league but it certainly is takin a hit. Factor that in with the NFL having the largest operating cost and its not the best for business.
  11. Amen, brother- and as a retired vet I just wanna enjoy a day at the stadium with my family, friends, and even the other fans if behaved. Its our chance to come together and forget all the nonsense.
  12. And here is one more reason why the NFL is a mess- too politically correct. Football is supposed to be a place where we can put politics aside, enjoy a cold one together, talk about guy stuff and leave the other nonsense alone. Its entertainment yet we are all letting it become something else. And Monday night- shift to Friday night and I dont care if their is HS or College ball going on.
  13. I will take a crack at it, and in no specific order. - Greed on the parts of players/owners/league - Too many rules and some are way over analyzed/complicated - The constant pass interference calls for tic tac bs light contact - QB may as well be put on a damn pedestal- you can barely touch them and if you do heaven forbid if the defender is a nano second late - Injuries are more than we have ever seen due to players being bigger, faster, and stronger. Because of this the league is loaded with parity. - Monday night games are not the best time to have a prime time game. Like another poster mentioned- Sundays are boss. If the league was smart shift the Monday night game to a Friday night game starting at 730. People would go out for it or stay in and party. - The kneeling/anthem has taken its toll as well. Everything in this world will rise and then fall. The NFL is falling and the league has a big problem on its hands. If they dont take a hard look at their rules/business model/ticket prices I expect the downward trend to continue. Disclaimer- these are merely my opinions and how I see it.
  14. He will lose- it is simple, he is a crappy quarterback and no one wants him. Plus, his head dont fit in a helmet anymore due to da fro- too much a liability 😂
  15. Just dont feel like arguing- have a great night
  16. There was alot more that happened- my whole point is we all have to keep working hard and seizing opportunities.
  17. My grandfarher and his 3 brothers sold newspapers on the street corner on Best street because no one would hire Italians. They all saved enough money together and opened a deli. The same happened to Italians all over- laugh if you want but if you do some research you will find the truth.
  18. I agree- it is a long conversation with tons of twists and turns. Truthfully this country would be much better if we could all just get along and get past ones skin color.
  19. Hmmm, good questions. It appears traction has been gained in that area as well- lots of black coaches etc. We have to remember 1 key stat- blacks are a minority in this country which soews numbers. We would have to look at entire populations to get a true picture of the percentage.
  20. Your welcome- I know they had major struggles with slavery etc- I get that and its different. My main point is alot of races had struggles and you cant let it continue to weigh on ya. Slavery was long ago I am pretty sure no one in Antifa etc knows one person who picked cotton as an indentured servant or was enslaved. It has no effect on their life present day, they use it as a bs platform.
  21. Except Hockey lol but thats not even a major sport anymore. My initial thought tells me blacks make up 65-70 percent of all football, baseball, and basketball players. And last I checked they sign big contracts- so they are getting 70 percent of the pie- true oppression.
