Harold Camping--ever hear the guy on radio?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Tcali's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Science can help a little. For instance; I do believe that two things cannot occupy the same space at one time. Thus my theory that two religions that all have contradictions can't be together true. -
Harold Camping--ever hear the guy on radio?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Tcali's topic in Off the Wall Archives
No one is certain, but to take the position all could be true is just as ridiculous as telling someone their belief in one can't be. The notion that many of them are similar is also not true. You are correct that no one person knows for sure. But it has to be one. Anything outside of that can't be true. If it can be more than one (because they are all different, and not basically similar as you believe), than it can't be any of them. -
Harold Camping--ever hear the guy on radio?

What is the only way to believe? Is there multiple ways or things to believe in, and have them all be simultaneously true? How could that be possible? -

So you don't know? But what? You know which one isn't? And how do you know it isn't? -

Is it possible that all of these could be TRUE religions? The answer is no. So which ONE is it? -
How do we compare to the Jets and Dolphins?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you are underestimating how devastating our offense is going to be. This group is going to be fun to watch, and very difficult to defend. Offensively it isn't even close, we dominate. If our defense plays even as mediocre as last year, we should beat these two teams twice. -
He's 35 years old. How is he going to earn $50 million? He will be 36 when he gets a contract next year. Are you saying someone is going to give him a 2 year deal for $25 million per? It was a weak attempt at satire, but no one is biting (no pun intended in regards to your scorpion references).

Pats Interested in Tinoisamoa

Yeah and I'm sure the agent would tell his client to go for less money. Are you familiar with how agents get paid? What a stupid attempt at mocking the Bills. -

You uncovered the mystery of a player wanting to go to a better team if that option presents itself. And yet you do it in your own clever way of mocking our team in a suppositious conversation piece. How did you think of the unique idea that a guy would want to go to a team that has a great chance to be in the super bowl hunt every year? -

SI: '08 rookies who need to step up
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So using your math of a 50/50 chance a rookie works out and with the Bills drafting 8 players that would give us 4 that contribute. I will take those odds over a high priced free agent working out. -

Yeah we should have taken Sweed, Thomas, or Kelly. They were forces last year. -
Poll Regarding #11 pick
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I voted for Andre Smith, but I don't think he will be there. In the event he isn't I actually would go with Pettigrew. -

Casserly's opinion of the tackles
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to auburnbillsbacker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think the Bills FO would have traded Peters if they didn't think they could fill the void with players already on the roster. You know they didn't talk about Peters for an hour or two, it was the topic for weeks. I believe they convinced themselves that they can still go forward with their draft plans. I just can't imagine they said well we don't think we can solve the LT issue in house, so lets just hope this guy is there at #11 or this guy at #28 etc. I believe they are going to draft Pettigrew. I think they believe he is the best player at his position by such a large margin that warrants taking him at #11. They feel taking any other position will render the 3rd or 4th best player at that given position. -
Guaranteed Draft Prediction
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to DDD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What should they say? "Oh damn, we didn't get any of the players we wanted because they didn't fall to us, and some of them we ended up with probably won't ever excite you as a fan because all the athletic, fast, tough players went just before we picked in each round." "Get your season tickets here." -
As if he might not be available?

Do you go to church on Sundays in the fall?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Going to Church for me isn't about the act of going, its just that's where they talk about God. If I want to watch a baseball game, I don't go to a soccer field because that's not where they play baseball. I enjoy listening to a pastor who has a God given talent to studying the scriptures and relay them in a relevant way. No different than I enjoy watching a football player with God given talents. The interesting thing is I don't expect everyone that I watch a football game with to be a perfect person. Sometimes my Uncle yells at the ref's and I think "what a nut". I do the same at Church. Sometimes the guy doing the announcements seems like a phony to me, so what? I am not there for him. I don't need him or the pastor to be perfect for me to be there. They are people, imperfect by their nature. I think its kind of a double standard that non religious people criticize imperfections in the Church, but yet understand them in every other arena. -

I think we are trying to trade Jackson. -
I don't know if you've ever played fantasy football, but the real draft is similar. In the top ten its easier to pick a great player, but boy he better be great. He better be your franchise player in a couple of years, because the price literally and figuratively is so high. Then 11-20 is tough because you hope someone falls that should have gone in the top ten, or you better really know your scouting and pick the perfect guy for that spot. Additionally you don't want to draft someone too high at your spot, because then you over payed, and if it doesn't work out you will get ridiculed by the fans alike. Then 21-32 is tough because you really have to find a diamond in the rough, but you realize you must have played well so you don't really need impact players just pieces to your puzzle. But what if you overachieved the previous season and need an impact player at these spots? Now the pressure is on. Find the guy or risk being back where you belong. The draft is tough for any team. It's pressure packed no matter where you are. The Bills have done ok. Don't be so down on them. I can name just as many achievements as disappointments.
