Bills "Nixed" Seattle Offer
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to BuffaloinLA's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Buffalo Bills are void of top end talent. This makes it difficult to build a team because there aren't cornerstone players to build around on either side of the ball. That began to change with drafting Spiller. If he's in the backfield, or in motion, or about to receive a punt, as an opposing defense you best keep your eye on Spiller. If Edwards ends up being the starting QB, defenses will know there's a big difference between checking down to Jackson vs. Spiller. Spiller will command that attention and create opportunities by drawing attention from the LB or Safety. I love having the most talented offensive player on our team at pick 9. -
I think its possible this year Wood becomes our Center. That's entirely dependent on how his leg has recovered.
-
He started out at Tennessee, which is why most thought is brother Chris was going to go there. I believe CJ was a QB that road the bench for 3 years.
-
Buddy Nix quote after the draft: "Our philosophy is to build through the draft and I’ve said that from day one and that’s what we’re trying to do is build a good foundation of solid kids and good solid players, now that’s not to say, and I think we did that, that we won’t bring in free agents to fill some spots that fit. (We’re) not trying to make a splash and thinking we are one player away from winning the Super bowl or whatever some of these teams think, but we want to build through the draft, that’s the reason we don’t trade draft picks much, you won’t see us (do that). If we’ve got nine we’d like to use those nine, the only thing that we would like to do, if we can, is add some."

Nelson will have a pro bowl season!
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's just what you saw last year, he was disengaged. I'm not defending him as a person, but as a player he can flat out play. He was on the verge of stardom after the 2008 season. -
Nelson will have a pro bowl season!
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lynch is just as good of a receiver as Jackson. Lynch had 47 for 300 in 2008, and Jackson had 46 for 371 last year. Marshawn's biggest weakness is picking up the blitz (at least on the field). -
SCHOUMAN: I don't get it. Help me.
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are exactly right, and I thought he showed signs of being a very good blocker. I think Nelson's going to be a nice receiving tight end and a good enough blocker to stay on the field during running plays. The notion Nelson can't block anybody is simply not true, go watch the games again. The guys that are complaining about our pass catching tight ends are the same ones complaining when we had just run blocking tight ends. They can't be satisfied. -
Ed Wang, the next big thing
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to JustMaxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the nickname Darth Wang, that was on the back of that one fans helmet. -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who do you propose to be this teams future QB? Are you looking forward to watching our 3 clowns or trying to trade for Campbell and watch us stink as we continue to search for our QB? -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a dump post. Tebow has no talent? Not wanting him on the Bills is one thing, but saying he has no talent is just down right stupid. Denver just reinvented their entire offense. -
No Tebow in the B-LO
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to billsfanmiami(oh)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then who's our franchise QB going to be? In three years we'll know whether the Tebow lovers or haters were right. Remember posting this when your watching Edwards this year. -
Lynch will be gone by tonight!
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What does Russ have to do with hitting the "big acquisition"? I'm going to say none of your proposals happen. You might be close on the Tebow thing, but it won't be with our second round choice, he'll most likely be gone by then. -
No one saying the "R" word, REBUILD, have they?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First off I agree with our responses 1 and 2 to SoCal, and another response might be the reason you don't trade out of the first round is then you don't get first round talent. They may not want to trade down if they want Clausen and he's there. So saying there's no doubt they want to trade down may not be true. -
Not sure I understand. First your saying unless we are paying the millions of dollars out of our own pockets, we don't have a right to an opinion. But then you go on a rant of what you think they should do. Then back to us again you say find the good in the pick and shut the F up, then you give us permission to respond again by saying "Flame away". You have me thoroughly confused.

New screen name
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would you want to cut out your WNY ties? -
You're the naive one. Just because its been a bad decade for the Buffalo Bills and its fans, doesn't mean its been a bad decade for a NEW regime. We have a new coach and a new GM, its starting over brand new for them. So guess what, you're the fool that thinks the past and present are linked. How do you know this new regime won't be able to build a winner, their way? You don't, no one does. We have no choice but to get behind the team (yes, even considering the past) as if all things are new. So you really need to either adapt or stop being a "so called" fan. I usually don't spout off like this, but guys like you drive me nuts. What the other AFC east teams are doing to load their teams for a year or two run, really has nothing to do with us at this point.

Is Vinny Cerrato referring to Maybin?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the guys that commented on this article in the link. Does this guy think he's gaining any credibility degrading players after they've been drafted, posing as if he knew before? Us fans obviously are drawing conclusions about Maybin because he held out for a contract and played terribly with what little playing time he had. I just don't think that's the end of the story with this kid, lets wait until the end of this year to form concrete opinions. -
For those of you hoping for T. Cody...
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd have to completely disagree with your notion its more important to be athletic at the NT position than at Quarterback. -
Oh no! Don't Pick That Guy!
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are the guys I consider with bust potential, and hope we don't take. Bulaga McClain -

Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darth - you and I have been on the same page with these tackles for some time now. Especially with our skepticism of Bulaga. But if the Bills pick him, then I'll defer to the experts. -

1) Russell Okung 2) Bruce Campbell 3) Anthony Davis 4) Trent Williams ** Bulaga isn't in my top 5 -
What are your surprise draft predictions?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very good write up, I could see all of this happening, and would almost say it should. -
Buf's Top Ten Mock draft
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing I definitely agree with you on, is that Bulaga will slip. I think the guy is average at best against the pass and I think it shows up clearly on film. -

Cleveland looking to trade UP to #1 overall
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if that fails.....they will probably take Clausen at #7 I don't think you can make this assumption. Just because they don't get Bradford doesn't mean they will just pick Clausen. I don't consider these two things linked.
