I'd say the only thing we have at QB is depth, I don't understand why you would want to add more.

How Long Will The Holdouts Be?
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to CosmicBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be a disappointment if Troup misses any time. Second round picks shouldn't be this difficult to structure. However Spiller is going to take some time, because there are so many variables to factor for both sides. -
Jets interested in signing T.O.

In all seriousness there is going to be a lot of dropped balls between Edwards and Owens, which I think will be a real issue. -

Ok, I have to lighten up while you say I like to hang around men's locker rooms? You're right, that didn't warrant a response, I apologize. You shouldn't have to consider things when you post, only the person you're offending should. -
Ellison was the first guy that came to my mind too. He seems like a guy that tries hard, but is just too undersized to play linebacker. I remember feeling the same way about Kelso. There's something about watching a defensive player hang on for dear life until another player wraps the guy up for you that drives me nuts.

Better, worse, or the same?

I think the D line is better, much better. I know it's a totally different scheme, but teams will have a much harder time running the ball on us this year. -

Express might not be the best word to describe this: "my feeling for bill have changed, Maybe it not, Ralph, small market, the city, etc, etc. " -
Ralph isn't cheap!
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Buffalonian-at-Heart's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So every time we don't sign a player because he gets a ludicrous deal in free agency Ralph is cheap? Why can't it be that we made the correct decision, by not paying a player that isn't worth the money? See you look at things as all cheap, but there are in fact good decisions in there, and not signing Clements is one of them. You have a very weak argument. Ok, this is the last post about this topic between us, because obviously we don't agree and never will. But dude you can't look at not signing Clements to that crazy deal the way you are. I thought it was a good decision then, and now it's proved itself to be. Gosh man you've got to find a way to be positive somewhere. -

Why would you ask me to explain why we didn't resign Clements, when you don't think we should have? Here's your post: "And im glad we got rid of clements, the 49ers overpaid him and he is not the same lock down corner as he was when he was with the bills." But then earlier you said this: "I just think Ralph can do much more to help this team. Look at Nate Clements and Antoine Winfield. Two great corners, and Ralph wouldnt resign them. Why? Because they were too much money. Dont get me wrong, terrence mcgee and leodis mckelvin are great and i love them way more than nate and antoine but come on. At the time they were the best cornerback duo in the game and he wouldnt resign them. Thats being cheap." You're saying you love Mcgee and McKelvin more than Winfield and Clements. Which is it? You define contradiction. -

Now I see what you mean John Wawrow. I've given this guy point after point after point after point, to show my opinion, and he doesn't understand how anyone can say "Ralph isn't cheap". Argghhh, I think admitting you're a youngster has a lot to do with your comprehension. I don't think Ralph is cheap (obviously), but that's my opinion. I have some facts that I believe back up my beliefs. But I can certainly understand the other side of the argument even though I disagree. For anyone to not understand the other side of the debate is just... how can I say? Adolescent. -

Of course we don't know because we don't study each team and their history, but I suspect most GM's have to fight with the owner to get money. -
Best Back-Up QB of all time.

Trend Dilfer was the perfect backup for that Ravens team coming in for Tony Banks. I always thought Testaverde did a good job in his later years as a backup. -

I understand your point, but free agency was a different animal back then too. And we had less holes to fill each year, so we weren't exactly beating down doors to sign guys. We had enough trouble signing our own stars. Guys wanted to come and they did. Paup, Bennett, Lofton. I don't see how the economy would be relevant when it's a free agent signing a big contract. The weather is also another one that can be debated, because of all the other cold weather cities. The tax situation could be a viable deterrent, but I think that's overcome within the contract or a good accountant, and there are two other teams in NY that don't have trouble signing guys. I think players just want to sign where they can win. Some guys sign only where the biggest contract is, but I think most of them sign because the money is there from several teams, then they pick where they think they can win, be in a scheme they like, they like or have a history with the defensive/offensive coordinator, etc. All these type of things come before weather in my opinion. -

He spent more money than 7 playoff teams last year you ingrate. You should be embarrassed you can't spell embarrassed, even with spell check. You would die for a team, that you believe has an owner that will never allow you to enjoy a winner? How? If I believed that I couldn't. I've said it once and I'll say it again. It would be way more difficult to try and field a team, sign free agents, fire coaches when the fans aren't happy, but do just enough not to win, so you make an extra buck. Than it would be to just win. You're theory just doesn't hold it's weight in water. Maybe it's a defense mechanism you use to still root for the team, but it's way more fun and makes more sense to believe they are trying to win. Ralph has fired coach after coach, after coaching staff after coaching staff, after GM after GM. We sign free agents every year and dole out big money for them. This is the first year in many years we haven't done that. And I for one think we are doing the right thing by stacking players, and building through the draft. -

Uh oh, another contradiction. You said you were done going back and forth with me. Looks like once again you don't even believe what you say. Yes, you are a "true Bills fan", rooting for a team you believe can't win. Here's another contradiction of yours. In this post you say he never wanted to be in Buffalo and basically no player has ever wanted to play for Ralph. Yet in a post after this you said "He got stuck with buffalo, and for many years he was a fantastic owner. He still is a fantastic owner, he is just too old now. He doesnt want to spend money, and doesnt seem to know whats going on anymore." Oh my God you're Bi-Polar. -

I proved all I needed to in our PM's to each other. You're all talk. You may be the most unintelligent person I've engaged in several years. It would be different if you actually had some points to make. But you don't, you just say Ralph is cheap without a shred of evidence. You're also delusional, the overwhelming majority of fans agree with me. Here's the most glaring point that makes you such a joke; You have a theory that Ralph Wilson never has and never will spend enough money on coaches or players to become a viable contender. Yet your screen name is "gobills123". You've convinced yourself Ralph has a conspiracy to trick fans into supporting the team, but will never fully commit to winning, yet you root for the team. YOU ARE SELF ADMITTING HE'S FOOLED YOU. Aren't you at least a little embarrassed to come on a Bills site with the name gobills123, believing the owner will never allow the team to win, fully admitting that you are a living contradiction? You still put your teeth under your pillow and put cookies out for Santa, don't you? Let me predict your response. "Duh, Ralph is cheap duh. Duh, everyone agrees with me." -
I used this seller on ebay. I contacted them directly and they express shipped my Spiller Jersey's. They came in like 5 business days. I got mine for $31.99 with the shipping, but you can probably negotiate a deal if you're getting 8-10. You will also be protected via paypal. Here's the link to the seller. http://myworld.ebay.com/wangzuan1015

Ralph isn't cheap!
Buffalonian-at-Heart replied to Buffalonian-at-Heart's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who could argue with that logic? The way you present your facts is impressive. I see so Ralph is cheap because YOU and the people you know say he is and because if he wasn't he'd sign play makers? How profound your reasoning is and the depth of your knowledge is boundless. I can tell you're a natural leader. People gravitate to you and routinely come to you for advice don't they? And you're right, we certainly wouldn't want people like me to represent our fan base, when we have high level executives like yourself to make us shine. In case you didn't pick up on it, the above was practicing for my stand up act. I need you to be in the audience that night, because as a comic, you always need a buffoon to make fun of. You'd be perfect.
