  1. Stop making sense. It is not tolerated here that much.
  2. How about just going away. This is a community ... or at least it was.
  3. ^^^^^^^ this
  4. Coach has been here for years and probably has forgotten more than you know.
  5. Umm. The team's best player is Shady. Watkins showed flashes but he doesn't belong in the same conversation yet.
  6. Will always remember him as a great FSU receiver. Good luck to him and Go Noles!
  7. I was shocked by this at first, but now coming around on it. You get a 2nd round pick for someone who was going to leave anyway and you get a 3rd in exchange for a decent CB. I think they did very well, but the vets on the team will not be happy. Probably best to move the rest and enjoy watching the kids lose a lot of games this season. The brilliance of this is that by the time our new team is ready, Brady will be retired. The FO probably saw a couple more years of pointless fighting the Pats w/o enough talent.
  8. Sooooo.... after 1 preseason game, the Bills decide to throw in the towel. If I were Kyle W, I would p*ssed and probably announce retirement tomorrow. I kind of see trading Sammy when he has SOME value, but Darby? Trading proven players for draft picks (which is a total lottery) is questionable. Maybe they are stocking draft picks to trade up to no. 1 next year. Boys and gals, it will be another 3 years minimum in the wilderness.
  9. Which is what a GM should do. I've never understood the thinking that you take someone with great physical attributes and somehow make him into a good football player at the NFL level. Guys who were winners in college tend to be winners at the next level.
  10. No. Bring back the standing buffalo though
  11. Alonso turned into Shady, so add Pro Bowl RB to your list.
  12. Bill, great to hear from you again. Hope all is well. Dude, why don't chill and build up some posts before saying stupid things? Bill is legend here.
  13. A buddy of mine went to HS with Russ. I mentioned that most Bills fans are not fans of his, and he said, "yeah, but he's our Rusty!"
  14. Doug's version of accountability was to hold grudges. That's too far in the opposite direction. Most guys in any organization just want to know the expectations and limits. You don't need to make a show of it.
  15. Well, there are not many good options that are quantifiably better. If one is found, by all means, cut him loose.
  16. Just got home and read two interesting news items. First, Carrie Fisher left us. Was hoping that she would pull though... Then the next item was that Rex and his brother were shown the door. I don't like cheering for someone's failure, especially when it also meant my team's failure, but I'm very relieved. I kind of stayed on the sidelines this year since I really didn't like watching such an undisciplined team and so much talent wasted. I'm thrilled that I can look forward to football season again. Only one team wins the SB each year, so you just want to get to the playoffs. This team has the talent, and I even think Taylor could pull it off. Worse QBs have. We need another stud receiver (over 6' tall please) and some tough safeties (and depth). Looking forward to the offseason. Merry Christmas, guys!
  17. Moot point since he will likely stay in Jax as the new HC.
  18. Well, the drought WILL reach 21 if the team starts completely over.
  19. But the last two years that antiquated offense has scored enough to win, but the D has coughed it up every time. Points are points. Maybe we are on the leading edge of the "new thing" ;-) In any case, we are not going to get a franchise QB with our draft pick and our OL is best at run blocking. Go with it until the points aren't there and Shady retires.
  20. ^^^^ Me too. Not sure about Coughlin. Not too many 70-year-olds keep up with the game. However, we have tried the coordinator route a bunch of times and none of them lasted. Hmm.. when you have Shady and TDMike and score 31 on the Fins, you go with strength. A team that plays in dome-less Buffalo could make this work for them and it mostly has. If the D doesn't give up the house every game, we're sitting pretty.
  21. Because they had a cakewalk of a schedule. That's why.
  22. I would be OK with Rex except for the total lack of team discipline (which plays into the injuries) and his defense which only worked a couple of years at NY. It asks too much of cornerbacks.
  23. They must really be gluttons for punishment then.
  24. I lost much of my interest in the Bills this season because of Rex. I don't like starting over all the time, but the Bills have picked some really bad head coaches this century. They seem to be really good at it. The proof is that none of those clowns has gone on to success as HC anywhere else. Look, Rex doesn't get 5 years, because has no credibility. We saw what he did the Jets and no one wants that here. Admit the mistake and move on. Maybe THIS time... We have some good players, at least.
