  1. Listening to the games won't be the same without him, but at least he got to call that last out by Lidge last year and finally experience winning a series.
  2. Not to mention, the slap in the face by then being the first to arrogantly post his companies article on TBD. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, indeed, Tim.
  3. Nickle linebacker is the best role for him, IMO. Hopefully we draft or sign someone bigger before the season. Ellison, with 30 starts, makes for a strong backup.
  4. Do you really think that it's going to be as cut & dry as "he had both feet on the ground"?
  5. Probably the only owner who has ever had the league rules re-written twice (this & the tuck rule) to save his pu$$y QB some face.
  6. I'm wondering the same thing. What if the defender wraps the QB up by the waist but then has to bring him down by the knees? There's so many variables to this that it's going to be very tough to get a straight call and a straight understanding on whats legal or illegal.
  7. Hopefully it helps his durability. It's good to see him admitting his weaknesses and taking steps to improve on them.
  8. Terrible rule. It's as much a part of the game as any other hit. It's funny that Kraft wasn't pushing for this when Wilfork did it to Losman just 1 year before. I didn't read the whole article, does it say that it's a 15yd personal foul penalty?
  9. My thoughts as well. What's better, Brady with 10 games under his belt with the playoffs in sight or his first game back in a year. He'll probably come out fired up with something to prove, but that doesn't mean that his body will be ready.
  10. I also heard that the Pats signed Joey Galloway.
  11. He may finally find his place in the offense with the addition of TO. I, too, am cautiously optimistic about the O this year, and it would be a pleasant surprise if Roscoe came out and had a career year. I think that the more likely scenario is that Evans has a big year, but there is a chance that TO and a new TE could totally transform the receiving corp.
  12. I agree with you that he does care (and I guess I shouldn't have said it doesn't matter who is there), but April got a 1st round pick last year in McKelvin, who was one of the more prolific returners in college football. That included 7 TDs on punt returns as well. Every year we bring in or retain quality ST'ers for April's squad, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. With the combo of McKelvin/Jackson, I still feel that we'd be well above average in the personnel dept., plus we have April's genius when it comes to the blocking schemes. Not saying that I'd want to get rid of Parrish, but if the right offer came along, it should at least be entertained without the fear that our punt return corp would suffer too much.
  13. Averaged 16.5 yds/ punt return on 7 returns this season. Not a very proven guy, but there's no doubt that he's good with the ball in his hands. Plus we've got McKelvin in case Jackson gets hurt or needs a breather, especially in the first few games if Marshawn is suspended. Bobby April has proven that it doesn't matter who is back there, we're going to have a good to excellent special teams unit.
  14. lol... you had me for a minute, but with this comment, it's obvious that you're just trying to rile things up.
  15. Explain how they could have cut corners on this one. Its pretty damn cut & dry.
  16. or that they even care WTF we're doing? Actually, I did just get a VText about the signing: "The Buffalo Bills announced that the team has agreed to terms with UFA Pat Thomas"
  17. Oh snap! Zinger by the Moff Diver!!!
  18. WOW! Welcome to the board!
  19. Exactly right. They'll have their pick of the litter as far as centers go at pick 11. I'll be disappointed if they do take one that early. A center or TE should be taken in the 2nd round, not the first. Mack, Unger, or Caldwell might all be there at pick 42 unless Pittsburgh picks one of them up at the end of the first. I really think that they need to address either DE or OLB in the first.
  20. There will be more by 5pm today. Stay tuned.
  21. Yeah, KFC requires that you turn off your cell phone during your shift. And I don't know what everyone's talking about as far as Thomas. His stats speak for himself. As far as I can remember, he's had a solid career with the Chiefs: Derrick Thomas Glossary · ProBowl(*), 1st-team All-Pro(+) Def Interceptions Fumbles Tackles Year Age Tm Pos G GS Sk Int Yds TD Lng PD FF Fmb FR Yds TD Tkl Ast Sfty 1989* 22 KAN ROLB 16 16 10.0 3 0 1 0 0 75 1990*+ 23 KAN ROLB 15 15 20.0 6 0 2 14 0 63 1991*+ 24 KAN ROLB 16 15 13.5 4 0 4 23 1 79 1992* 25 KAN RLB/rolb 16 16 14.5 8 0 3 0 1 67 1993* 26 KAN ROLB 16 15 8.0 4 0 1 86 1 43 1994* 27 KAN RLB 16 15 11.0 3 0 3 11 0 65 6 1 1995* 28 KAN ROLB 15 15 8.0 2 0 1 0 0 48 5 1996* 29 KAN LOLB 16 14 13.0 4 0 1 0 0 47 8 1997* 30 KAN LOLB 12 10 9.5 3 0 0 0 0 28 6 1 1998 31 KAN LOLB 15 10 12.0 2 0 2 27 1 33 9 1 1999 32 KAN LLB 16 16 7.0 1 20 0 20 2 0 1 0 0 53 7 Career 169 157 126.5 1 20 0 20 41 0 19 161 4 601 41 3
