  1. I've only gotten through the Pilot and I've seen some things so far. My girlfriend had an interesting theory, she thinks the first night they hear the smoke monster that he's moving or building something since there's a lot of banging and mechanical noises going on. She loves the smoke monster, so she could be biased. Also, the smoke monster usually has a reason for killing someone, why did it kill the pilot? Also, the next day on the beach as Jack is talking to Kate about going to the cockpit, Losties in the background, you hear Rose say the noises they heard sounded familiar or she's heard them before. Very good call on the Locke/Machine theory, although my friend doesn't think Locke is in any way shape or form, bad. Which is very naive IMO.
  2. The local media so far likes T.O. it's the national media I think that tend to oversight. With the exception of some ESPN division reporters.. And the local Buffalo real estate agents, which IMO are just trying to get T.O. to buy instead of lease during this economy.
  3. Maybe my brain has short-term memory, but is this normal to see WRs and QBs stay after every practice like it has been with T.O. and Edwards? Today, Lee Evans and Steve Johnson stayed afterwards as well and worked some more. This is good stuff to see, especially if it draws even more (i.e. Nelson, Schouman, Reed, Lynch, Jackson, Rhodes, Hardy, Jenkins).
  4. Okay, so what? He didn't shake hands after the game. Is it really THAT bad? I mean, I feel for him if he's that close and loses to a 1 year wonder like Orlando. He probably wanted to go someplace and clear his head, or possibly get right to work on the next season. Who knows? But the bottom line is he didn't shake hands after the game and people are so quick and so intense to bash him. He didn't shake hands. BIG FREAKIN' DEAL! There's a lot more that's wrong with sports than Lebron James not shaking hands after losing the NBA Semi-Finals.
  5. It's only been talked about on every sports television and sports radio show for the past 3 days. Annnddd he's being summoned to meet with NBA Commissioner David Stern. Note: This is getting as much attention at Janet flashing the Super Bowl.
  6. Can T.O. sell Ellis on coming here over Pats?
  7. Make it happen, Cap'n!
  8. I'm going to try to go back out to my car and listen.
  9. Total brain fart on my end. Sorry! I'm going back and watching the series and taking notes. Am I a dork or what? Should I rename the thread title?
  10. That should be banned.
  11. Any offensive system with a lot of weapon, majority of the time the only way you can beat them is pressuring them into getting flustered and in turn make bad decisions. Once a quarterback becomes flustered, they lose swagger and rhythm. That in turn, trickles down to the other offensive players. I've been amazed at how much this plays a role. I've been helping a friend from high school coach the local football team here since I graduated college. I know high school football is way off from pro football, but it's really cool to see our team be out-matched on paper yet sometimes totally dominate that opponent on the field. Pro football has a lot of complexities but I think football in general is 90% mental and comes down will and determination. Slap Brady on the helmet a few times and I bet he'll start crying like a baby.
  12. I'm not so sure the Patriots are still going to be as much of a powerhouse as they've been in the past. Good things rise and fall and I think the Patriots are on the fall part of the hill. It all started with the Super Bowl loss, then Tom Brady getting hurt, then not making the playoffs. All good things must come to an end.
  13. Tim's right. Yorkshire Terriers and Ya-Ya Sisterhood shenanigans are the downfall of America.
  14. Locke as a child picked the knife when Richard visited him. He stabbed Jacob. Richard had a very scared look on his face. Hmmm....
  15. I would go ahead and start looking for a new company to work for. Your company sounds like a bunch of tight-wads. Who knows, they could be fattening their salaries with your loss of coverages and perks. The least they could have done is informed you before they did these things, but to disregard it is extremely unprofessional. Sounds real shady to me. I would be on the outlook for other opportunities and be ready to bite.
  16. I've just started re-watching S1. Will probably go through the series a few times before January 2010. Good find Inkman!
  17. SKOOBY, has Turk been talking this big about the offense to you? Give us the scoop!
  18. Most readers of the media don't realize that when a player usually says something, it's mostly an answer to a question from a media member. I recall the T.O. bashing in the media after his 100th TD catch in Philly and how the Eagles didn't do more to celebrate it. I believe he was asked if the Eagles should have done more if I remember correctly? If so, I applaud him. Such is the case with Favre, yet a lot of people hate him. Now, honestly, is Favre calling up John Clayton, and Jay Glazer whining to them? Very doubtful. I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. They're calling and texting Farve and Favre's telling them how he feels, ESPN dramatizes it up and blows your eyes and ears with the headlines all over the sportsticker, SportsCenter, ESPN News, ESPN blogs, NFL Live, Outside The Lines, PTI, Around the Horn, so after 4 hours, it basically comes down to Favre just saying how he feels and entities like ESPN beating it to death.
  19. Since this thread is about kids, I see you two have resulted to fit the mold. Hope this helps!
  20. Chad Johnson doesn't get crucified like T.O. Favre gets appreciation from the media based on his accomplishments. He's done a tremendous amount in his career, some amazing things, and deservingly so. Things that completely overshadow his INT count mind you.
  21. Let me break it down to where most Favre HATERS will comprehend easily: Favre is like the Jeff Gordon of the NFL. Hope this helps.
  22. The two years before Owens got to Philly McNabb threw for 5,505 yards, completed 57.9% of his passes, had 33 TDs, 17 Ints, 15 fumbles, was sacked 71 times and earned a QB rating of 82.3 in 26 starts. Edwards over the last two years has completed 61.6% of his passes, thrown for 4,329 yards, had 18 TDs, 18 Ints, fumbled 13 times, was sacked 35 times and earned a rating of 79.1 in only 23 starts. Throw in the consideration that those were McNabb's 4th and 5th seasons in the NFL and the past two were Edwards' first two it looks more promising than any QB since Kelly for the Bills.
  23. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1...all.html?cat=14 The last paragraph on page 2.
