  1. As many coordinators the Bills have hired over the past nearly 15 years, I think this was Ralph's chance to finally put his money where his mouth is. Every little NFL insider from John Clayton to Pat Moran were joyfully proclaiming that Ralph would "do whatever it takes and money won't matter" and bring a coach in to right this ship. Now after nearly 3 months of that kind of talk, Ralph is backing up and going after coordinators again. I certainly hope that kind of mularkey doesn't apply to first time head coaches and he doesn't sign Frazier for $10 million a year! Who cares if a Super Bowl winning coach has never won a Super Bowl with 2 seperate teams. The fact is, they have and they know what it takes. And they would apply the same methodology with the Bills as their Super Bowl team. Say what you want about Bill Cowher: "he had other people making decisions, blah blah blah" The bottom line is he made the playoffs 10 out of 15 years in Pittsburg. I don't care if it was good karma or just dumb luck, either way the Bills need it. You don't make the playoffs 10 out of 15 years and NOT learn anything about winning, building the right team, etc. And so what if he's our coach and we don't win a Super Bowl during his tenure, at least we know we'll be a contender again. You can't say that about any other positional coach, coordinator, or whomever. All the heresay about how Frazier's the next great head coach doesn't mean anything to me. People around the league still say Jauron is a good head coach, so you make the judgement on that one. Ralph has had a great chance to really redeem himself and this organization, however, I feel once again he's dropping the ball.
  2. These Dear John letters on message boards and facebook are annoying.
  3. I remember upset about the Jauron hire over Mike Sherman. Jauron had only had 1 winning season as a head coach. There's always been better choices and the Bills just pass them by.

  5. Nothing, it's another inside scoop "from a friend". No hard evidence. Said Cowher was in Orchard Park this weekend...
  6. I'd be content with: Cowher Billick Harbaugh Garrett Schottenheimer
  7. Just after going through 4 coordinators this past decade, I think it's time we aim a little higher.
  8. He's never been an NFL head coach. I think the feeling from most people that don't like it is that when Buddy Nix says it's important to have someone with head coaching experience, most people didn't think that would be at Trinity College 20 years ago. For every time this season Ralph has vowed he would "spend the money" and finally ante up to bring in a solid great coach, he's surely folding now.
  9. I would rather we had kept Perry over Frazier. Seriously.
  10. From Michael Lombardi... http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Sunday...-Post-6968.html
  11. My bad, recently in the last decade, I forgot who I'm posting to sometimes...
  12. Ralph shouldn't be the final word on it. He should just give his input and let them find someone they all mutually agree on. Leadership falls from the top. Just take a look at other top notch executive office within other organizations and compare their team's play. Sorry I'm not sold with Nix. There's a reason the guy has never been more than a scout in the NFL until recently.
  13. You've got my vote.
  14. Sounds to me like Ralph isn't willing to the spend the money. If that was the case Shanahan would have more of a formal interview process. Not sure what all that "Ralph Wilson is finally gonna spend" crap was...
  15. Gut feelings will leave you with 15 minutes of fame on Cheaters.
  16. I'd put Chuck at the head of the line as far as local reporters. If anyone has a point of view, his is most likely the best to hear. That said, this whole Cowher thing is anybody's guess. I wish John has asked Wilson about the billboard and if that points to any ineptness the fans point to the organization. Not sure if that's okay for an AP writer to go after, but to me it's got to be embarrassing.
  17. The season 5 thread last year was awesome and I know this will be too. I'm stoked about this season. I've heard there won't be any breaks this year?
  18. And as reports have gone this week, this tells us virtually nothing...
  19. I did an internship on the west coast and it's a drag flying back and forth. I hated it. Even though California is beautiful, the long flights and time change wear you down.....
  20. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/...gger-tim-graham Katelyn (Syracuse, NY) As you said it is a long shot for Cowher to go to Buffalo, but please tell me Buffalo will at least ask and make Cowher turn them down? Tim Graham (1:13 PM) I get the sense that may have happened a couple times already. Even so, I hear the Bills keep trying to win him over.
  21. So the argument is: even though OVERWHELMING evidence on the field shows he sucks, if he has a good combine teams will risk a 1st rounder on him? Not with this years batch of QBs in the draft.
  22. Snead is horrible. He, along with his team, were overhyped in the preseason (ranked #15) and lost to sub-par SEC teams like South Carolina and Auburn. 5 of their 9 wins came against extremely low ranked teams. Snead is a product of a dangerous and amazing runningback in McCluster and a barnyard full of good receivers. And don't give me this offensive line crap, he was sacked less this year than last year, but threw 20 ints. He threw 2 ints against Memphis, 3 against Vanderbilt, 2 against Arkansas, 2 against Auburn, 3 against Mississippi State, and a whooping 4 against Alabama. Not to mention his awesome 0 TD 3 Int clutch performance in the Cotton Bowl last week. There's no way this guy is worth a 1st round pick. If anything he should go back to school next year and try to recover from this awful season. AT BEST, he's a 3rd rounder.
  23. Snead still had McCluster which limited coverage, plus University of Mississippi has had a barnyard full of receivers.
  24. How many INTs did he throw against Oklahoma State?
