We must sign Peters. We can't keep allowing our best players to leave in their prime. Winfield, Clemens, Pat Williams, etc. It forces us to spend high draft picks are positions that were once solid. The cost to develop a new LT through draft picks, trades or signing old pros is too risky and keeps setting the team back.
Sign Shaffer and between the guys signed and drafting a G or C in round three the O-line should be set for a few years. Drop down a few slots and draft Pettigrew in round 1 and we should be able to pound the ball as well as throw the ball all over the field. It would be a very tough offense. Take a DE/LB in Round two, Ayers or Johnson may still be there. Get LB depth in round four or round 3 if we get an extra pick for dropping back in round 1.
Remember too we also have five Def players coming back that hardly played last year...Schobel, DiGiorgio, Bowen, Youbouty & Ellis. Bowen and Ellis should step up as useful depth and special teams, Digiorgio and Youbouty are quality back-ups and potential starters.
