You cannot develop a QB and an offensive line at the same time. We had serviceable QBs, tho not good ones, like Bledsoe and Holcomb behind less than mediocre lines and they performed at or below average. When we have had new QBs JP and even Trent behind less than mediocre lines they performed at or below average. Neither has ever played new average when the line has been on shambles like this one.

maybe they don't have to worry about our front seven and they had to concentrate on someone? seriously tho, Byrd is a major bright spot. Imagine if he was on a team that scored points, had an aggressive defense that could stop the run, pressure the QB and force a lot of throws. He'd clean up.

If I were in charge I'd tell the players to call it a season and mail it in from here on out. But it looks like they got that word a few weeks ago.

my brother in law in Boston saw him at some BC event. brother in law reminded doug of a pick up hockey game or two they played against each other while in college. doug sat down, talked with him for a bit, and signed some things for his kid. seems like a nice normal guy. wish someone on the bills had his brain and guts.

Pats lose is good for us. We stay within 3 games of the Pats with seven to go. We are right on their tail. We have one game left head to head. I think we are in great shape.

He is correct. If you win, you set too many expectations. Winning just breeds more pressure to win again. Right now he has no pressure to win and there are no consequences. DJ's philosophy .. Don't go out and try to win the game. that is too risky. Just play not to lose, maybe you will be close enough to win if the other team screws up.

I think DJ turns it around the next few games. You can't blame the poor play on the coaches or the FO, the cheerleaders need to shoulder some of this.

Why the hate toward JP? He is not a bad guy but he did have poor coaching. If he does not make the grade to be an NFL QB why slam him for trying? Wish him the best, hope he gets another shot and hope he makes it. Get off his @ss. He has tried harder at his job than most guys on this board try at theirs. Also he is not quitting so give him kudos for that. He also took more interest in the city of Buffalo than any QB since Kelly.

If DJ is the coach next year RW will bear the responsibility for the largest mass suicide ever recorded. I don't think he is willing to do that, not even at his age.

I'd do everything I could to get Bill Polian back.

The first statement is incorrect, IMO.. Whatever call was made on the field would have been upheld. There was not enough evidence either way to overturn a call. Flutie plays and we win. Johnson played and we should have won.

The sad part is all he needs is one decent game and he can catch both Evans and TO in # of TD catches. Even if he had been healthy this year and last we would not know any more than we do now on his abilities. Jerry Rice in his prime could not make a difference with this offense.
