  1. Well we were 23rd as evidence by picking 9th. I think it is fair to say we are probably better than St Louis and on a par or behind the rest. Oakland and Detroit have improved more than we have. At year end Oakland was a much better team than the Bills especially when Gradkowski was QB. This alone drops us to 25th. I'd have to look at the other suck-a$$ teams to think if we drop all the way to 28th, but it is not unreasonable. It is very probable that we will have a top five pick next year. Also you have to get over your insecurity about Buffalo being viewed a second rate city. It really is getting old. Be loud, be proud and quit whining about what you believe other people think about Buffalo. The more you whine the more it proves their point.
  2. Fins have a much more realistic chance to be 2-2 than the Bills have of being 1-3. Bills 0-4. Pats 2-2, Jets 3-1, Fins 2-2. All of the other teams are better to start with, all have a QB, they all did more than the Bills in the off season to improve their team, none are learning new offenses, none are learning new defenses, none have a new coaching staff, none have questions on their O-line, QB, #2 receiver, tight end, OLB, or DL. Other than that we are right there with them.
  3. To use a baseball analogy. I'd be happy if we can become a tough out.
  4. I am concerned that we did not draft any DB's or Safeties.
  5. Just say no to crack.
  6. I agree it is between Brohm & TE. Fitz was a caretaker whose upside we have already seen. Gailey is supposed to be creative when it comes to his QB. He will certainly get his chance to prove that once again.
  7. I have discovered that Draft Grades are stupid only when they give us bad ones. They are very accurate when we get good ones.
  8. It was early in the season. He has extra time.
  9. I agree, I like the Spiller pick. If you have the chance to pick one of the most dynamic players in the draft or the 4th or 5th best at a position of need you take the dynamo. The dynamo pick will last ten years, the position of need will get addressed sooner or later (well maybe). I am sick of watching boring football. I don't care if we lose quit boring me to death. I get physically sick watching a team that has no spark, no attack, no concept of what it is trying to do. At least with Spiller you know one thing -- get him a lane and he is gone. It will be exciting to watch.
  10. The players will be upset that the food table at training camp would be depleted.
  11. Tony's transgression was repugnant but it was mutual consent. Big Ben's are acts of aggression against defenseless women. Tony made one mistake, Ben has been accused twice. Tony was underage, Ben is an adult. Tony's was an act of passion. Ben's was premeditated and occurred with concurrence and enforcement by his police body guards. It was also illegal imprisonment. Ben has done this before, you can bank on it. That it is not the first time it ever happened and follows a pattern of systemic rape. I believe Ben's accusers. "She said no" should ring out at every stadium all year long. The Pittsburgh rapist should be out of the league and in jail. There is no way Gooddell suspends the bast@rd if he had any doubt about this. Time for you sorry-@ssed jock lovers to stand up and be counted.
  12. I wanted to join the Optimist Society but I was afraid they wouldn't let me in.
  13. maybe practice squad
  14. Donte Whitner. enuff said
  15. He had a few big drops last year. For $9M per year you should have ZERO.
  16. Gailey always does more with less at the QB position. He will have less to work with here that is for sure. We will see who fits his style best. I hope it is not PatrickFitzRyanRyanFitzPatrick. I would love to see TE recover but I do not believe it will be easy. Once fans get down on someone it is hard to overcome that. Brohm is an unknown, if he can get it together he has the arm and head for the game. That being said, without a better solution at LT we will be severely limited by the OL. I'd like a vet to be brought in. I also hope they move Bell to the right side and he competes with and beats out Green and proves a more than adequate solution.
  17. our starting LT is not yet on the team
  18. Our offensive and defensive backfields (except QB spot) are top notched. Our WRs and TEs are below average. Our offensive line is pourous. Our defense is new with several key players not a good fit for their position -- Stroud, Williams, Kelsay, etc. Our LB corp is below average. Our Offensive and Defensive schemes will be new. Our QB is below average. We may win 4. We should win 2.
  19. Yes and we had the best offense in the league with explosive WRs last off season. Long way to go before any conclusions can be made, cool your jets. We suck until we outplay good teams.
  20. We did get Wang to go give us the biggest All-Peter line in the history of football. What more could you ask for.
  21. I hope you are not serious as I honestly cannot believe that operating a moped while under the influence is a "character issue" and would have kept anyone from drafting him earlier if they thought he a very good player. This compares to Bill Murray getting arrested in Sweden when driving a golf cart under the influence.
  22. Is Selvish Capers a team player?
  23. Jackson as a WR. Are you completely nuts? The man is a running back.
  24. Especially in Seattle's backfield.
