Your poasting pattern suggests you assume a lot about American politics that is tenuously or technically true, at best. If you are in fact Canadian this isn't surprising nor is it uncommon. The reality is that the lack of civility and the attitude pervasive in American political discourse is a feature, not a bug, and a result of sixty years of careful maneuvering by government agencies, lobbyists, and the uber-wealthy. Are Russia and China looking to benefit? Of course. Are they heavily involved? No. The sad fact is that treacherous Americans have done these things to their own people. The CIA does not exist to spread the American way around the world. This is a common misunderstanding of what their mission and goals are. The CIA is an intelligence gathering agency that exists for the sole purpose of ensuring domestic security. On paper, they answer solely to the President. "Ensuring domestic security" has been interpreted in a variety of ways over the years, to include arming and funding despots friendly towards American interests and carrying out political assassinations half a world away. They play a very long game and don't really answer in any way to the people of the USA, which is a salient criticism of the Company. The "split" you describe isn't between Democrat and Republican, or even conservative and liberal, per se. It's a tension between those who cherish the republican values instilled in the original government of this nation and those who do not. This is why the split seems so large when it's "just politics." It's not just politics. This is a deeply philosophical, even religious divide that is played out in political and social proxy wars. The writers of the US Constitution stated their goals: to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to (them)selves and (their) posterity. These are not the goals of the United States Government for the past sixty years. Far from it.

SCOTUS Blocks OSHA vaccine mandate
LeviF replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They moved the Overton window a shade to the left. The Supreme Court is still a failed institution in a failed government. That they managed to moderate the managerial tendencies of the current administration isn’t much to cheer. Still 8 figures worth of medical staff in this country being treated like livestock. They are indeed celebrating in the White House today, as their particular brand of anarcho-tyranny took two steps forward, one step back. -
I did Fanduel, Draftkings, and Caesar's. Caesar's had some server issues on Saturday. Spun the free credit from Fanduel up to $500 without depositing! And hit Justin Herbert Over 299.5 Pass Yards and Over 2.5 pass TDs, paid at +425 at Caesar's. This weekend Draftkings is doing a couple of promos including their "hammer the over" this weekend. Bills/Pats total points goes down by a half point for every 5000 people to bet the over. Current total is 30! If you haven't signed up yet I know all three are still doing bonuses and promos including 100% deposit match, +3000 promo odds, etc.

Josh Allen has to bail Daboll out but he should be fine with Justin *****in Fields? At least one part of this take is pretty terrible.

Yeah considering tickets were going for $8 if you leave an easy $200+ ebay cash out there just...c'mon, man!

The foundation under Dr. Fauci is starting to crack...
LeviF replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The power dynamics in the current USG (dating to the mid-1960s) are fully on display in hearings like this. A tense and heated exchange between a Senator and a highly-paid bureaucrat in the executive branch. Fow Chi's confidence and calm while a representative of a ceremonial body challenges him, an influential figure in the managerial state, is indicative of where real power in the government lies. When Democrats and useless Republicans weep over the future of "democracy," this is the dynamic they desperately want to preserve. -
The article is still up but they changed the headline and deleted the tweet thread. "They were born that way" sounds eerily similar to the tagline that was once used to push another paraphilia towards mainstream acceptance.

Trent Dilfer Brett Favre who most reminds him of himself
LeviF replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
There really isn't a historical comparison for Josh at this point. People have said Cam, but JA is a much better passer than even peak Cam. People have said Favre or Elway, but both are overrated and I believe Josh has better passing ability than either. And is clearly a better runner than either. Steve Young is a decent mention but Allen is bigger, stronger. -
Marv Levy Leading the charge Saturday Night ?
LeviF replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it too early to suggest that OP may have a grudge against Marv? This is basically just a roundabout way of killing him.- 68 replies

Ballot harvesting is just a natural result of destroying a republic through perpetually-expanding suffrage and direct elections. If you believe in “democracy” and universal suffrage you necessarily must believe that ballot harvesting is, at worst, morally neutral.

Victor Davis Hanson: These are the actual insurrectionists
LeviF replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Insurrection is the wrong word in both cases. But in any case one political party has all the power in the country currently. And they can’t manage to get measly PC to charge anyone with insurrection. Makes ya think. -
Is there a picture of her holding a fish?
LeviF replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall
"To make him miss her?" Is it the smell or the well-known bedroom nickname that'll conjure up these feelings in him? 🤨 -
Approximately 48 hours after starting this thread, SDS received a visit from several men in black at his workplace who informed him that this board would continue as usual so they could monitor the public views of an MKUltra program participant who shall remain nameless at this time.

The measure of a smaller municipality isn't whether young adults stay put. Young adults (read: men) naturally want to forge their own path and the current year method of doing that is leaving the place you called home for a decade or more. The measure of a smaller municipality is whether it can attract young adults or families from other places. And upstate New York, with some notable exceptions (like Albany, astroturfed by NYS government), hasn't been able to do that for many years.

It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
LeviF replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The Sorkinization of the Democratic Party has destroyed America. We cannot science our way out of everything. -
What exactly about the Cleveland Browns makes you so confident they can beat the Bengals backups?

And it's worth adding that it looks like a failed state because New York is a failed state.
