New York Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin arrested
LeviF replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As I stated above, corruption in Albany is essentially a proverb at this point. Goes all the way back to the opponents of Daniel Tompkins and of the man, DeWitt Clinton, himself. And of course there's this, regarding the state legislature, from a freshman legislator's personal diary in the late 1800's: That according to future president Teddy Roosevelt. -
"We got him!" "Him," of course, being a guy with a prolific Hotep-adjacent online presence who dropped his keys, guns, and CREDIT CARD during his "escape" from the train platform with no working surveillance cameras and who was "known to" the FBI but was "cleared" after "several interviews." Yeah, this checks out.

Beware even video that purports to accurately represent something happening in China. I have severe doubts that the CCP has lost control over their state internet in Shanghai.

Corruption is a way of life in Albany. It could be a ***** proverb at this point. -
The complaints about the microchip not being able to tell when someone is down by contact are complaining about a problem that already exists - the spot and the time at which the player is downed are already separate decisions made by refs. The microchip just automates one of them.

"Center-right" folks from the 1980s owe a lot of apologies to the religious right. Especially with the Disney ***** starting to come out, so to speak. -

What got Kay's panties all in a twist?

I mean since it's rooted in common law going back to when English royalty had actual power I was thinking something more along the lines of rolled down a bumpy hill whilst in a barrel or something like that.
-
Misdirected anger aside, Will Smith violated one of the oldest principles in our common law heritage. What is an appropriate punishment for him?

Why are you even engaging with that talking point? The entire BLM movement is an astroturfed house of cards built on, at best, ignorance of basic statistics. Back to the topic, BLM is fake and gay. -

Considering the number of Disney employees recently arrested for sex trafficking you'd think they'd be a little quieter on the whole child grooming front. -

If it wasn't a staged event, it's a very public look at Will Smith trying to salvage some of his ego after his wife has very publicly cheated on him and probably pined for a dead 2pac for 25 years. He's extremely angry at her but cannot express it at her since he's supposed to pretend, like the rest of these demoniacs, that it's "normal" and that he should be fine with it. If it wasn't staged it was the only truly human moment we've seen from a celeb at a major event in some time.

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer To Retire
LeviF replied to Tiberius's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Honestly we’re reaching a point where the H or Y bombs are meaningless and that’s the only glaring thing missing from her resume. Nearly three years in the court of appeals compared to Jackson’s nine months or whatever. Regardless of how noble they might be, serving as a public defender or on the sentencing commission are not qualifications or even experience relevant to the position. Kagan was a bad choice, solicitor general be damned. But she’s held her own anyway. People make a big deal out of it but the reality is there are far more people able to do the job than will ever get a chance to. -

“If it functioned the way it’s supposed to.” So, as the highest appellate court in the land with little original jurisdiction? What is this B word on about? The only experience that is actually relevant to the job, it could be argued, is a seat on an appeals court. Which all but one person in that chart did before their appointment. -

Ah, the rewards for deftly handling a trial in which an individual was convicted of sex trafficking women to satisfy the sexual proclivities of her boss who committed suicide in jail while the cameras were off and the guards had abandoned post and *checks notes*, well that’s odd I don’t see any other clients’ names in my notes. Wonder why that is.
