Why do the gays love the dems so much ?
LeviF replied to Teddy KGB's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The slippery slope argument isn't a fallacy, it's just pattern recognition. You'd be forgiven for not seeing it in, say, 2008. But by the time Obergefell was decided the die had already been cast as American politics shifted violently into a postmodern frame. Of course, there is also history. NAMBLA had a regular presence at pride parades until the early 90's, and the concept of "age of consent" was hotly debated within the gay politics community from its inception in the 60s and 70s. Much of the opposition to the concept of "man-boy love" came from women within the gay rights movement. The gay movement wasn't the only place this "debate" existed though - never ask a woman her age, a man his salary, or a French philosopher what petitions he was signing in 1977. -
Oh, are we asking these questions? How about the dogs that are contracting it? Woodchipper, indeed.

Or he does remember, and is rubbing everyone's face in the fact that he clearly doesn't give a ***** and gets away with it. -
Someone needs to tell the bars around here.

So what could be described in the most charitable sense as a paraphilia can be cured with a little time on the couch and what, an SSRI? -

They'd have a hard time with damages since this was a settlement. -

A "sickness." Lmao This treatment for this "sickness" is closer to rabies in a dog than the flu in a human. -
Sex between men, not skin contact, is fueling monkeypox, new research suggests. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna43484 Glad we could clarify this.

Pretty sure that would just be another form of cocaine.

Liz Cheney Political Career Post Mortem
LeviF replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I propose tossing them into a hole in Gitmo if they ever have political aspirations. If it were true that "nobody is above the law" as the DOJ is claiming, ol' Dick would have hanged from the neck 'til dead about a decade ago. -

Liz Cheney Political Career Post Mortem
LeviF replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For those of you who actually believe Cheney lost because of her position on Trump I'd enjoy seeing your analysis of Kemp's landslide win in Georgia earlier this year. The reality is that Liz Cheney lost this seat before she joined the House Select Committee. The polling data says as much. She was never as popular as her predecessor who now serves in the Senate. And while people like to point to how often she voted the conservative position, that changed a bit in the last year as she voted for, among others, the gun control bill, the CHIPS Act, and unlimited money for the crackpot in Ukraine. Her position on Jan 6 isn't what did her in. It was her singular focus on helping conduct public show trials over what her constituents actually cared about. That'll get you every time. As an end note, if you're a leftist who has helped to sanitize the Cheney name over the last year I think you have some real soul-searching to do. -
The Plot To Kill John Bolton and Salman Rushdie
LeviF replied to Tiberius's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Because first degree murder in NYS is reserved for killers of police/peace officers, firefighters, material witnesses, etc. as well as felony murders. Because of all the changes to the ways that NYS punishes those convicted of various murder statutes all three of second degree murder, first degree murder, and aggravated murder are class A-I felonies. -

Yes. No. I read your post.

Ever read “And The Band Played On”? The author gives the gay community too much credit but if you read between the lines you can tell that cynical gay-centric politics made the AIDS epidemic what it was.
