  1. Oh no can’t make 12 year olds accessing porn as easy as clicking “yes I’m 18” oh nooooooooo
  2. If the colleges involved or the dissenting justices could have come up with anything but half-hearted legal theory that the Court had rejected decades ago, maybe their case could have been made.
  3. He believes that "Christian nationalists" are simply another side of "wokism," which he opposes. He also believes that "normal" Christians (that is, not "Christian nationalists"), are some of the last people who believe as a group in classical liberalism as demonstrated by the founders and other enlightenment-inspired thinkers, as he does. So he considers normal conservative Christians political allies. Thus the dog.
  4. Lindsay is an atheist, and an outspoken critic of Christian nationalism. Google is hard, so I'm going to assume basic reasoning is hard too. Whoever wrote that little blurb at the SPLC certainly googled Lindsay, and absolutely viewed his Twitter page, both of which would tell you in pretty short order that not only is Lindsay an atheist and a critic of Christian nationalism, but has publicly debated Christian nationalists on the topic. So this is not simply a mistake of fact or guilt by association, but an outright lie. So the question, then, is if the SPLC is willing to lie about James Lindsay and about what he believes, who and what else are they willing to lie about and how many times has it happened?
  5. I don’t personally know any Christian nationalists. I wouldn’t know. It has nothing to do with what I said.
  6. lol, this one kind of gives the game away, don’t you think? SPLC is fake news, if one even wants to call the drivel it produces “news” in any sense of the word.
  7. Medical emergency, hit your head, imbibe too much, get murdered, or some combination of the above. I’m sure if we put our minds to it we could figure out a bunch of ways.
  8. I'm aware lol - I guess I should have made a complete sentence
  9. I assume this is a professional conference and you need a few suits. Try Bureau on Elmwood.
  10. WRs, TEs, and RBs are considered, the list is by team.
  11. If you renew or apply for a registration at your county DMV office rather than online the county gets a cut of the fees.
  12. A rare musical stain on the city.
  13. If the CEO was willing to fire people for pointing out safety issues he’s probably willing to conceal the risk from his clients.
  14. Yeah it's interesting to me who we mock and who we don't when FAFO things happen. Even if we accept the premise that these folks are stupid and entitled they're still far less worthy of mockery than certain individuals in the last several years who had highly-publicized deaths and were instead rewarded with ivory or gold caskets and thousands of public mourners. Then of course there's the war porn constantly strewn about the internet over the last year; people clapping like seals over men being turned into ground meat on thermal cameras.

I understand some amount of your reasoning here. Laws are laws and are on the books a certain way for a reason. But that goes for jury instructions as well (which is where the mistake of age question actually appears). Whether he "did it" is a question for a jury as they would be instructed by a judge. I don't mind people taking a hard line stance on sexual relations with minors, in fact I prefer it. But there's still some reality to be dealt with when prosecutors make decisions. I don't mind if you hate the guy, but intimating that police or prosecutorial misconduct is somehow the reason for the decision ignores a significant amount of reality here.

Mistake of age is, however, which *seems* to be an issue here based on what little I've seen.
  17. I've used this guy's website for other chinese recipes and they've come out brilliantly. Not a hot and sour soup guy so I haven't tried making it. https://www.madewithlau.com/recipes/hot-sour-soup
  18. They’re on the same date. Thus the word, “anniversary.”
  19. I worked today because I earned a week’s wage for a day’s work. Oh, and happy anniversary of the deaths of these traitors as well: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_and_Ethel_Rosenberg Stay safe out there
  20. JD from Yale. Clerkships in SDNY and 2nd Circuit. Staff atty at ACLU national and legal director at ACLU Illinois. So she meets the bare bones requirements. There absolutely are questions about the quality of her work there and whether she has a true grasp on reality given her statements from when she worked for the ACLU and her subsequent testimony about them in front of the Senate committee.
