  1. At least he's earned the smugness with his record, meanwhile Rogers has one championship. I find I tend to like athletes more when I don't watch their interviews.
  2. I’d say the entire fourth estate too but I have a better idea for them.
  3. That guardian review is basically “here’s all the Qanon things that this film conspicuously lacks. Clearly this is a Qanon movie.”
  4. Stopping child sex trafficking is Qanon now. Wonder why leftists would want people to think that.
  5. And I can't make it on my own (And I can't make it on my own) Because my heart is in Ohio So cut my wrists and black my eyes (Cut my wrists and black my eyes) So I can fall asleep tonight, or die
  6. I'm sure his federal probation officer is given the same directives regarding him as the other probationers.
  7. Maybe if they got those numbers down a little they wouldn’t be “policed” so much.
  8. No, I mean black. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/12/01/metro/what-we-mean-by-black-girl-magic/
  9. I’ve never seen a more perfect metaphor for the massive entitlement attitude held by magic Americans.
  10. I mean isn't that exactly the guy you want to invite over, the guy who doesn't bother keeping track of his expensive drugs?
  11. Look at the damage The fortunes came for the richer men While we're left with gallows Just waiting for us liars to come down and hang And when it was over, I woke up alone
  12. real Camp of the Saints *****
  13. For our friends with the memory of a goldfish: https://www.timesunion.com/state/article/New-York-investigates-DMV-cheating-allegations-16622788.php
  14. Thousands of cases of address fraud in both Maryland and New York resulting in cancellation/revocation of previously issued driving privileges. That’s just what I personally know of. Should slow down a lot in NY now that MA is issuing them too. Not to mention that the bar to “prove” your ID went way down as well. A freshly minted foreign passport and consular card (lol) is all it takes. Give me $3k and pick a Central American embassy and I’ll come out with both of those in a couple of hours. Oh and who can forget the nonsense with NY’s new online permit test. Decided to pull IPs six months in and, woopsie, turns out huge numbers of folks just so happened to take their permit test from the same apartment in queens. Weird! Though that’s not exactly exclusive to the illegal immigrants
  15. Well there’s the massive fraud that seems to come with every state that allows it.
  16. Have you actually read the full faith and credit clause? There’s been no statement from any court saying that it applies to driver licenses. Many states do not recognize learner permits from other states. Same with professional licenses, weapon licenses, etc. If you find a judicial opinion to the contrary let me know but to my knowledge full faith and credit is largely for court judgments only and is narrowly interpreted by the various appellate courts.
  17. Look, we’re on the same side w/r/t parenting and even the relative efficacy of these kinds of laws. But companies like Mindgeek need to be held accountable at some level because of not only how they ignore obscenity age restrictions but also because they have maintained CSAM on their platforms knowingly and done nothing about it. We already restrict access to all sorts of things that somehow end up in the hands of those we don’t want to have it. I fail to see how pornography should be any different, and making it harder to access is good, actually.
  18. Did you feel the same way about the restrictions on the advertising of cigarettes? Never ask: a man his salary a woman her age a french philosopher what petition he was signing in the 1970s https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_petition_against_age_of_consent_laws
  19. Lot of pushback against the idea that maybe 12 year olds shouldn’t have unlimited access to hardcore pornography. Really makes you think.
  20. Not when the riots are regime-sanctioned violence and those who defend themselves are charged with murder against every bit of common and written law ever produced by this civilization. You start with the false premise that the two groups you mentioned are equal under the eyes of current US law:
  21. Her grandfather spent nearly two decades in Congress. Her husband ran talent acquisition for the Clinton campaign and is currently the managing director of one of those NYC-based businesses that doesn't even state what it does on its website because you're too poor to know that. I don't feel bad for her.
  22. And had a decent family resort. I had the time of my life there.
  23. In NY they ID for those kinds of magazines.
  24. Back when I worked at Macy’s, we had some absolutely shameless return attempts come through. My personal favorites were the 20 year old pots and pans that were starting to lose their nonstick or had discolored. I remember one particularly egregious one went to my coworker and he did his best to explain why it was ridiculous for her to try and return it: not only was it clearly well-used for a number of years but the brand had been defunct for over a decade and was never carried by Macy’s. So the rigmarole is gone through and eventually a manager strolls on by and asks what the commotion was. To make a long story longer, he eventually asks her how much she paid for the item, punches in his manager code, and processes a no bar code return for store credit. After that I just decided I was going to be the hero for people and process their return any way I could. At least that way maybe one of them would use the survey and say how amazing I was and I’d get a gift card for “going above and beyond.”
