I think he was more specifically referring to those that buy "science textbooks" for their kids that teach creationism (much more specifically, young-earth creationism).
Just saw the BBC coverage of the thing. I like how the Republican congressmen kept saying "We have the best health care system in the world!" Can you imagine trying to quantify something like a "health care system?"
That last part reminds me of a story. My dad was executive chef at the Glen Iris, and every weekend the same old woman would come in and order the prime rib "well done." No matter how much they cooked it, she would always send it back because it wasn't done enough, never failed. Eventually, they just started throwing a piece of prime rib in the broiler and cooking it until you could barely cut it, then soaking it in au jus until she came in. Then they would heat it up and bring it out to her.
P.S. She still sent it back.
I've been thinking about getting an electric set that I can transport between here at college and my parent's house fairly easily. I've been missing my acoustic set because even if I could get it here easily, I'd have no room for it.
