I'm two quarters and a heart down And I don't wanna forget how your voice sounds These words are all I have so I'll write them So you need them just to get by Dance, dance We're falling apart to half time Dance, dance And these are the lives you love to lead Dance, this is the way they'd love If they knew how misery loved me

Chris Olave arrested for going 35 mph over speed limit
LeviF replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
70 in a 35 is a bit more than simple "speeding." It's 35 for a reason. -

Wasps (thanks for correction) are out of control this year
LeviF replied to WotAGuy's topic in Off the Wall
I’ve used Sevin powder with success on ground nests. Get an empty (dry) Poland spring or whatever water bottle, funnel some sevin dust in there, then turn it upside down into the hole and squeeze the bottle to get some oomf behind it. -
Like I said, a lot of it has to do with the (black) market for cars. Don't seem to be as popular now. Used to be Customs would crack open crates with stolen Q7s on their way to Israel or Eastern Europe pretty regularly. It's like most crime, most of it is opportunity. Locking your car, just like locking your house, is usually an effective deterrent by itself. ETA: I know with the Q7s windows would sometimes get smashed and they would use a computer that hooked into the OBD connecter to program a generic fob. I haven't kept up because they trended down but it's possible Audi managed to increase security on the car's computer.

Clearly!

Nah. The Kia/Hyundai thing went viral but there are cars with vulnerabilities all over the market. A few years ago it was Audi Q7s for example. Some of that is demand in the market, some is just better opportunity. Look up fob cloning. Steal your car right out of your driveway.

Wasps (thanks for correction) are out of control this year
LeviF replied to WotAGuy's topic in Off the Wall
This time of year they've changed their focus to just providing for themselves before dying off for the winter. So they're after warmth and sugar. Combine this with a mild winter last year and there's a ton around. I had to deal with more nests during the hot months than I had before. -

What Did You Do that Caused the Bills to Lose?

Same issue, but bridal shower. I promise to pay zero attention to my kids next game. -
The Samson option is on the table.

Pity they can’t both lose, or something to that effect.

There’s a relevant Kissinger quote for this somewhere in my brain.

Change of plans. Biden is building a wall.

It’s good, actually, when invaders die whilst trying to invade your country. -
In X-Files canon he died in 2018. Know what else happened in 2018? Round 1, pick 7.

See, but this is the funny part. I'm not going to squawk about this Trudeau nonsense because honestly, I don't care, but notice how journalists manage to paint anyone who disagrees mildly with the regime as a secret nazi but can't manage to do the tiniest bit of digging to smoke this one out before Trudeau could embarrass himself again.

I believe it shares a platform (extended) with some of the early 2000s Saabs. But overall designed in Michigan.

I almost bought a CPO Regal Turbo instead of the Impala. But the Impala was a deal I couldn’t pass up.

My cars have all been American or American-adjacent and all been good to me. Now I drive a Hyundai because my wife brought it into the marriage and the Tahoe was really for her 😂 2007 Mazda Speed3 (American-adjacent due to Ford partnership) (totaled out after getting rear ended in 2018 at ~200k miles) 1999 Chevy S-10 longbed (rusted out frame in 2016, good night sweet prince) 2015 Impala (bought CPO in 2018 with 40k miles for $15k out the door, got $14k on trade for it in 2021 with 100k miles on it haha) 2022 Tahoe None ever gave me any problems. I did my research though, lot of “American” clunkers out there.
-
Our Tahoe is American-built and assembled but outside of that there isn't much anymore. I traded in a '15 Impala that was assembled in America for that but walking around the lot in late 2021 was just depressing.

GM has already outsourced a ton of work to Mexico and Korea. Walk around a Chevy lot and see how many VINs start with 3 or K and how many list engines and transmissions built in Mexico. And yes, that includes the pickup trucks.
