  1. Back then a really nice one would run you between $150 and $175 a month. Lower end ones probably like $80 or so.
  2. Nothing I saw in that job compares to the horror stories I could tell from my time in child welfare. I just loved walking out with stuff. Three months of no payment on that refrigerator? Unplugged and on the dolly it goes. Don't care how much food you have in it. Funny how once you get to the door they suddenly have some cash to get started on the back money due.
  3. Oh man. I did some time as a repo guy for a furniture/tv/appliance rentals place. Best job ever.
  4. I can't even remember the last time I really flipped out. I tend to just simmer.
  5. Every day we stray further from God's light.
  6. My thoughts exactly. Although one thread (maybe the Gettleman one) turned into an argument over the definition of "The South" within five pages or something. One guy linked to the census bureau.
  7. OP starts thread on agreement. Thread devolves into argument about steak. Never change, PPP. Never change.
  8. Brilliant thread, gug. Love seeing people foam at the mouth over this stuff.
  9. George Lopez. Hands down.
  10. Yawn. So he was a dumb kid. King (aka Talcum X) and his obvious reasoning for this article can shove it.
  11. Filthy papist scum.
  12. Disclaimer: I worked in child welfare for some time. Hit your damn kids. Don't hit them like you're in the ring, don't be excessive about it, but please hit your damn kids.
  13. Booooooooooo
  14. I can't watch the video at work, but did the cop ask why he had it or why he had it outside of concealment? He doesn't need a reason for the former, he needs one for the latter.
  15. Good, answer no questions. Let his lawyer answer later.
  16. Go Querry!
  17. So who bought advance tickets to "An Inconvenient Sequel," where the great manbearpig slayer tells us all about how the sensationalist garbage in his first movie was just ahead of its time or something?
  18. Go refill your dementia meds, old-timers.
  19. At some point I'll just say I'm divorced
  20. I'll keep Uncle Joe in mind
  21. Marriage hasn't changed so much as the rest of the world has. The internet made everything different. Everyone (read: young people) have more options than ever and more opportunities to exercise those options.
  22. Are you actually an idiot or just pretend to be one on the internet?
  23. Nope, and it's staying that way. But I have some friends who are married/have kids now and it's going fine for them so I don't knock it too much.
  24. Cool to see that marriage rates are stabilizing. Still not getting married.
