  1. I had two friends I was very close with growing up. We still live in the same general area. These two were as close as brothers. One of them had a fiancée. Who had an affair with the other friend. Needless to say the former fiancée and other guy are completely cut out of my life. That all being said, I think it depends on the circumstances.
  2. American socialists: disarm the proletariat! Only rich people should have guns! https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/5103
  3. I remember my first trip down the K-hole. Friggin' amateur.
  4. This is how LEO's are trained now. Pursue the shooter, put rounds on the shooter. That is what stops mass shootings. That last bit of the quote is telling. Training says that a mass shooter is likely to off themselves if an officer engages and puts rounds on them. They aren't looking for a fight. They're looking for victims.
  5. I live four blocks from the TU. If you (or anyone else) want to have a beer first round is on me.
  6. I'm trusting the process. I think a lot of people assume that the trade up to 12 was to put us in a better position to get into the top 5, and that's probably true, but it's also not necessarily the case. I don't see the Giants moving their pick until they're on the clock. If Cleveland takes anyone but Barkley I think the Giants stand pat and take him. I also think now that the Jets have traded up and there's a real chance that there are 2 QBs gone by the time Cleveland picks again at 4, Cleveland will feel more pressure to draft a QB at 1. As it stands my top 5 looks like this: 1. CLE - Darnold 2. NYG - Barkley 3. NYJ - Mayfield 4. CLE - Chubb 5. DEN - Rosen Admittedly Denver is the wildcard there. It's hard to tell exactly how comfortable they are with Case Keenum. I think they'd be stupid not to take a QB at some point, but is top 5 really where they want to do it?
  7. And now you're just calling a spade a spade?
  8. Seriously. What the !@#$ ever happened to going to the gym, getting your **** done while staring into space, and leaving?
  9. Sadly, he's not far off.
  10. Glad to see that, nearly 14 years later, we're able to keep up the high standards that our forerunners had for discussions on this forum.
  11. Here's what the people wanted
  12. Should have found one about swiftboating. That would have been fun to re-live.
  13. Serious question: how on Earth did you manage to dig up this long dead thread?
  14. Same here. Dropped out of college for a semester to give it a go. Decided it wasn't for me. Also didn't have the cajones to just up and leave a degree/job to see if I could make it as a session drummer. Now I fill in locally here and there. It's fun and gives me some fun money.
  15. I've been watching the Candidate's Tournament. I'm no master at chess but I play and enjoy watching the top guys play. Of course I don't stream it to my TV and try to livetweet it or some ****.
  16. THE PROCESS IS SPREADING
  17. I think if you got a candid shot of Schiff it would have been a better matchup.
  18. For me it's Murphy. I get that he's on the Bills payroll but dear lord man. Schopp can be insufferable at times but I can listen. I can see why people don't like him at all though (and no, it's not because the show is "too smart," whatever the hell that means).
  19. Can't believe I forgot this one:
  20. Pic doesn't show up? The book is An Anxious Age: The Post-Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of America by Joseph Bottum
  21. 1. Everybody has a price. 2. ...everybody has a price.
  22. The ERO guys I know are chomping at the bit still. ICE will have no issue rounding up plenty of illegals no matter how much warning some loon gives them.
