  1. I'm seeing it Thursday. Saw "Action Point" over the weekend and it was exactly what I expected. Cheap laughs good for when you're a little buzzed.
  2. Love you buddy, just not a fan. Just something about all his movies makes me cringe. Between that and constantly being bored during his films (Fantastic Mr. Fox excepted) I just can't sit through them.
  3. So hedonism doesn't exist or your friends aren't actually hedonists or what? I don't think I know the same people you know so maybe you can tell me what I think. Also Wes Anderson sucks and his movies suck harder.
  4. When I read the headline all I thought was, "when did Vargas get relegated to AAA?"
  5. Firearms laws wasn't the point of my post. Best.
  6. Yes, look what happened in Baltimore. Schools couldn't find money to heat their buildings (and are cutting staff) but found money to bus kids to an anti-2nd Amendment protest. Curious, isn't it? You're a smart dude. Look past the bull ****.
  7. Doesn't make me wrong
  8. Dead serious. The constant chase for pleasure through (often dangerous) vices is usually indicative of some sort of issue.
  9. Unrepentant hedonism is often a dead giveaway, for whatever reason.
  10. Yeah, about that. The status quo has not been "good enough" for a very long time. It's no coincidence that suddenly now we've decided that we need wedge issues to divide the country and the media is putting it out on full blast.
  11. You: "Silent majority that refuses to post in this cesspool" Also you: B word and moan when you get called out for posting drivel and then report posts like you orgasm each time you do, when PPP has long been a "hands-off" area for moderation. You leftists just can't have a place that isn't a "safe space," huh? Gotta get mommy to make the bullies go away.
  12. Indeed. It died when Libertarians tied themselves to open borders, which is a globalist position and untenable in a world of sovereign nation-states.
  13. Not to mention that none of the other members of the Commission objected to the language used (I think there were 7 overall).
  14. Excited to see Hereditary and Hotel Artemis. I'll probably see Action Point after a few drinks or something and guffaw like an idiot.
  15. Ginsberg will die on the bench. Then we'll find Chuck Schumer playing weekend at Ruthie's until at least 2024.
  16. It certainly is. If I were older and had a wife and kids my views on good places to live would likely change drastically.
  17. Upstate NYer here, can confirm: Vermont sucks.
  18. Make Istanbul Constantinople Again
  19. Certainly. My point was more focused on the campaign promise itself, not necessarily an endorsement of stuffing courts full of right-wingers. There are currently two nominations for the 9th circuit before the Senate Judiciary Committee and one already reported out. May see some common sense out west before too long.
  20. It's a (really, another) campaign promise that Trump seems fully intent on keeping. The lower courts are being stuffed to the gills with right-wing judges.
  21. Recent Republican presidents not named George W. Bush and Donald Trump have an awful track record when it comes to that. Based on his Gorsuch pick I don't think Trump would make the same mistakes Reagan and H. W. did.
  22. Indeed. Ginsburg and Sotomayor have given up on even the appearance of the political neutrality that jurists should aspire to. The open contempt that the CCRC showed towards the baker's religious objections speaks for itself; the man never got a fair shake until he was granted cert by the USSC.
  23. Narrow in its scope, which is why Kennedy got 6 justices to side with him instead of 4.
