  1. Every nation on earth has a police force that carries guns in at least some capacity. Without the ability to use deadly force, law enforcement is impossible.
  2. You do realize that placing handcuffs on someone is physical man on man contact, right? It doesn’t have to be violent but that’s what it is. And it’s also the point at which the situation is most likely to go south. And when that happens you’re too close for a taser to be effective. You got hands and feet and your body weight and fighting know-how at that point.
  3. So abolish the police. Got it. Just for kicks do you know how many “bad shoots” of African Americans there are per year?
  4. I don’t know about Gaetz and Kavanaugh but statutory is still rape, still a crime, and absolutely should be categorized as such, complete with registration. Frankly I’m not that interested in what the right and left and up and down have to say about it. Ignore the confidence in the stats all you want, but you won’t find solutions until you acknowledge the problems.
  5. Homicide, waaayyyy over policed man. Legalize it!
  6. Yeah, that silly crime of forcible rape is really over policed. “I don’t say ‘that’s racist’ but that’s racist!” Ever heard of the National Crime Victimization Survey? Oh, and you’re a ***** idiot.
  7. I’m saying do your little per capita dance with the race/ethnicity breakdown of violent crime offenders.
  8. lol now do homicides, sexual assaults, and robberies.
  9. Black is the other popular finish.
  10. Bright yellow is one of the more popular Taser finishes.
  11. To your first point, we train officers that you don’t make contact with a subject in a vehicle that can still move. Ain’t ***** worth getting dragged. You can find the shitbag at a later date because he’ll never stop being a shitbag. And what happened to Daunte Wright is the direct result of neglecting and underfunding training for cops. All that being said, if you comply you never get an accidental stress response like the one young Mr. Wright received. No, he was trying to run from a felony warrant.
  12. Regarding making the decision now, they can still revisit at some point later on but this is probably done after consulting with the governor's office.
  13. Was that the RGIII game? Pretty fun to watch as far as drought games go.
  14. Not a big 90s alt/grunge guy in general but “Spoonman” by Soundgarden is pretty dope.
  15. I haven’t really been able to watch. Just makes me sad. My wife tried to show me a clue and I hated whichever host it was. I think at the end of it we’ll find they keep none of these folks on permanently and it was just a nice way to get over the hump of no Alex for the next permanent host.
  16. That would be a very Cinci thing to do but I think they go with Sewell. Almost inevitable that Miami gets Pitts or Chase, it would seem, and depending on what the Falcons do with the 4th pick they may get to pick whichever is their favorite.
  17. I could have told them that for the low low price of a 30 rack of Blue Light
  18. You misunderstand in the sense that my post was not making moral statements, but factual ones. As you’re aware I received a vaccine well before most people did and feel no need to moralize about it when speaking to the circumstances at large.
  19. lol one of the murderers responsible for Waco is gonna head the ATF. Can't make this ***** up. AND he ***** lied about it on Reddit of all the goddamn places. Using reddit should be a disqualifier for any appointed or elected government position in the Union.
  20. Again, the GED holders of the DC Dept of Corrections are about the same distance from Capitol Police, pedigree-wise, as your average felon.
  21. How'd he get that close to a Capitol Police officer while in the DC jail?
  22. Not only that, but Big Ben's ***** happened in a completely different political and social environment with regard to how this type of stuff plays out in the public eye. Ray Rice was the catalyst for major changes in how the NFL and the public dealt with this type of stuff from players.
  23. Not really. If we assume, possibly correctly, that Oliver's ceiling is that of a very good 3T when he has a 1T that can eat blocks then he had no business being the 9th overall pick to begin with. Some guys just aren't ever going to be elite football players no matter the effort and time put in. The failure by a GM to recognize that doesn't rest on the player's shoulders.
