  1. I love how these people don't vote for any Bills for All-Pro or Pro Bowl, and then turn around and say "they're actually better than you think" to justify their Lamar MVP vote. Next year I bet we get a whole passel of AP/PB guys so they can go back to voting for Lamar.
  2. Next we're going to hear screaming from Ravens fans about "tampering" because Carucci is a voter.
  3. Not enough people are talking about that. Josh didn’t go one year but that was because he was completely left off the finalist list. Lamar was 1st team All-Pro and very nearly won. Just a bad look unless he had a good reason not to be there. It’s like he already knew.
  4. Absolutely a first down by Kincaid on the 3rd and 3, even more blatant than the 4th down call. His legs were on top of the Chiefs' defender and he wasn't down until the ball was well across the 40. But we know that if we challenged it would have been "the ruling on the field stands" and we would have lost the timeout anyway. I guess the only caveat is that we would have had time during the challenge to get our heads out of our asses and find a 4th down play that worked. The correct call there completely changes the rest of the game.
  5. We already lost a timeout on the earlier challenge; we would have lost another one there. The reviews were horrid, including the one on the Worthy "catch," and the writing was on the wall. In hindsight, the D wasn't stopping them from getting the one first down they needed anyway, but at least we had a theoretical chance to get the ball back with two timeouts. All through the playoffs we were getting screwed on big spots. I never saw so many third and fourth-and-shorts all year. Our opponents? First down, move the chains, don't even bother looking at it.
  6. Didn't get it! ***** the Eagles and ***** their fans.
  7. How is that not offsetting?
  8. Interesting how the Eagles beg for flags and don't get them. What a concept. Of course I spoke too soon. That's PI? Really?
  9. Lattimore, man. Got toasted.
  10. I remember a team that once won the conference championship by 48 points and lost the SB anyway.
  11. Pretty sure the Commanders aren't done turning the ball over. Some of these throws are risky as *****.
  12. I don't care how good he is, that's piss-poor tackling.
  13. That's why they have two people in the booth.
  14. I'm traveling on business tomorrow morning and I made sure to get all my work tasks in order last week and this weekend. I even packed last night. I have a couple more things to tick off the list this afternoon. I'm fine right now but I know I will be useless after the game no matter what happens.
  15. This. I remember Bruce saying after the AFCCG how “sick” he was that the 49ers didn’t win because he wanted to prove themselves against the best. Hopefully there’s none of that bad mojo this time around. The Super Bowl is the Super Bowl. The Chiefs are just in the ***** way.
  16. I had the flu during the 1993 Divisional against the Raiders and watched at home huddled under multiple blankets, shivering and hallucinating. I went right back to bed afterward. A week later I was in the stands at Rich watching us walk all over the Chiefs. I relapsed after that game and was sick for another month. It was worth it.
  17. I’m not old enough to remember the AFL days, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), but my first football memory is sitting with my dad in front of our 19” black-and-white Zenith and having him tell me, “watch number 32.” The ‘70s were a bleak period in our history, but at least we had OJ. And then he left, and Chuck Knox came here with his old Rams like Isaiah Robertson and Bill Simpson in tow, and we drafted Jerry Butler and Joe Cribbs, ended the stupid Miami streak, and we had the spirit, talkin’ proud, talkin’ proud …. And then it crumbled and the Bills went 8-40 during my final three years of high school, and then the worm turned and we had the glorious ‘90s … and then came the drought, and then came McBeane, and then came Josh Allen, and suddenly that little kid on his dad’s lap was in his 50s, his dad was in his 80s, and his son was in his 20s, and all three of them are waking up this morning in different cities across the nation with the same identical, pure, simple thought: GO BILLS.
  18. Every single team in the league including the Chiefs passed on Keon Coleman in the first round. If Worthy needs this to get motivated for the AFC championship game, I'm not worried.
  19. I would be surprised if that was the case. I don't remember him playing at all as a rookie except on ST. Different times back then. We can only hope to be that age, period.
  20. I think they started out committed to running Henry, and after we stuffed him a couple of times they decided to try something else for a bit. Then Lamar threw a terrible pick and fumbled, and they went back to the run, but this time with Justice Hill as the lead back. That loosened things up somewhat and made it possible for both Henry and Hill (why are they not called the Goodfellas?) to run downhill in the second half. At the end they had no choice but to put the ball back in Lamar's hands. We clearly came out in the second half expecting to go up three scores and start teeing off on the passing game, but when we ***** the bed on our first drive it looked a little like we weren't expecting them to run as much as they did. The RPO abandonment may have been a concession to the weather and a fear of a fumbled exchange. I have no doubt we were prepared for it after seeing what they did to Pittsburgh last week.
