Agreed, and if anyone had asked me which I would have preferred to keep, I would have said Ty Johnson all the way. Love Mack and the way he stepped up last season, but if we had re-signed him we would have been paying for past performance rather than for the role we expect him to play in 2025, and that’s no way to run a franchise.

So… We’re basically keeping everyone we want to keep, AND convincing player after player to come here from Southern California for the winter. Are those palm trees I see growing around One Bills Drive? Or just a bunch of W’s?

Bills sign DL Michael Hoecht on a 3-year deal worth a max value of $24M

Came here to say this and was surprised it took this long for someone to raise it. It's the size, the high-90s number, the DE/LB flexibility, the NFC experience, and, well, the other thing. -
No kidding. We got the Niners' first-round pick in '79 which ended up being #1 overall. We took Tom Cousineau out of Ohio State. Ralph wouldn't pay him so he went to the CFL. When he came back we traded his rights to the Browns for their first pick in '83... with which we took Jim Kelly. We had to wait eight years for the return on the OJ deal, but boy was it worth it.

I see that list and I raise you this one: Bruce Mathison Joe Dufek Brian McClure David Humm EJ Manuel TJ Yates Matt Cassell Dan Manucci Matt Kofler Brian Brohm

The issue I have is he’s negotiating in public. That’s his right, but what have the Bills and Beane done to make him do that? Time and again they’ve proven they take care of the guys they want to keep. If he truly wanted to stay here and be paid fairly, he’d tell his agent to get a deal done, and he’d shut up (and tell his loudmouth washed-up brother to shut up) until it was done. He wants the entire bag and doesn’t particularly care where he gets it. Again, that’s his right. I have no hard feelings. It’s a business. But when people tell you who they are, believe them.

I agree with much of what you say but the draft was VERY different in Brady’s time. There were like 50 rounds, more minor leagues, and LOTS more kids getting drafted out of high school as opposed to today when there are 20 rounds and only the very best HS players get drafted.

He can kick it long. But he outkicks his coverage and twice tonight he failed to pin the Eagles deep. Just boom into the end zone for a 30-yard net. He sucked tonight.
-
Leave the man alone, he retired two quarters ago.

I’d like to check in on ChiefsPlanet right about now….
-
I was like there’s no way they’re just going to give the Eagles a first down.
-
Man. If the Eagles had Josh they’d be going for a four-peat right now.
-
It should be 17-0 or even 21-0 right now. This is what they do. Keep it close, hang around, get a couple of calls, escape. Eagles need to get their ***** together and hang some points on the board right now.

Someone like Myles Garrett.

Araiza sucks.
-
Refs probably would’ve negated it.
-
for sure. But Kermit knows if it’s picked he’ll get bailed out by the stripes.
-
Too bad our front 4 couldn’t get a single pressure like that all game long.
-
Our fans tore down the goalposts after we lost? I've heard stories of people lugging their own kegs into the Rockpile... now I believe them. $23 a pop for a midmajor women's game is what got me.

This. There is a better chance of the blimp crashing through the Superdome roof than there is of the Chiefs not getting a game-changing call, so I'll root for the former.

The second-to-last Super Bowl I ever watched with other people (save for my dad and son) was XXVI. I was in college and kind of had to go to the Sports Information Department's party since I worked there. ***** miserable. The last SB I ever watched with other people was Falcons-Broncos in 1999 a few months after I got married. On the way home I informed my wife that I would be attending no, zero, none, nada more SB parties regardless of who was in it, and I have kept my promise. Being the only person in the place who actually wants to watch the game is no fun.

100% agree. In fact, those and the Nick Foles win may be the only Super Bowls I've ever truly felt good about at the end, except for maybe the two Dolphins' losses in the early '80s. The Bucs' win over the Chiefs would be in there too if it wasn't for Brady. Torry Holt and his Lamar-kissing ass can go ***** themselves.
