  1. Agreed, they were good games. I enjoyed them. If I remember correctly, Bob Hayes and Ken Willard played in the ones I saw.
  2. Remember the 'Coaches All-American' games played at the Rockpile from '61-'65?
  3. I can still see in my minds eye Garrett sweeping left...way too successfully. Were you at the Chiefs game here in '65? Sadly memorable because their FB tore his knee up in that game (Mack Lee Hill) and he died 2 days later immediately following the surgery. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mack_Lee_Hill#Death
  4. Just Rex showin' the way on how to be 'the bully'...
  5. I was at the AFL championship game that year. After seeing what KC did to us In that game, I thought they would fare much better against GB. Wrong.
  6. lol Helps me get over channel flipping and seeing him spewing forth on Mike & Mike. It was just too soon after hearing he hired Fat Rex.
  7. If he acknowledged the obvious, he would admit he is not HC material, imho. He is such a manipulator, so I don't trust what he says most of the time. So I believe he also said that to take a shot at all those who criticize him for not keeping Schwartz's scheme intact.
  8. Thanks for posting those. I hear more excuses in his "merge" comments.
  9. I know he's targeted to work at NT, but since he played O-line as well, visions of him being an earthmoving center are very enjoyable
  10. Good advice being given in this thread. 'Matt Foley' also seems to have believed that less is more
  11. Opinions on whether he won't get cut til next year?
  12. Does his picture look photoshopped to anyone else? http://twitter.com/account/profile_image/L...nEA?hreflang=en
  13. Sounds like a very wise fellow. He talked about a variety topics and shared a nice Bills memory he has too. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/?eref=sinav
  14. Speaking of Hebrew National, their salami is outstanding. Different from normal salami.
  15. Nathan's Famous are all beef I think. Very good dog. Frey's are good also and yes, as someone mentioned their bologna is good. Prefer Zweigles all beef bologna though. Tops charges $5.99 lb. which IMO is a lot for bologna.
  16. With the injuries around the league I thought it was strange Runyan hadn't signed somewhere yet. He may be waiting this one out to see if he can catch on with a Super Bowl contender.
  17. Agreed...you can't win many games without one.
  18. I saw this on SI today. ---------------------------------------------------------- "On another note, Silver said he wasn't surprised that Bills fans vandalized Leodis McKelvin's house. Silver said when he writes negative things about Buffalo, the team's fans threaten him." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatric...l#ixzz0RHxRBkRe
  19. The Bills voiced confidence in their new left tackle a day after releasing veteran Langston Walker. Bell practiced fully for the first time Wednesday since straining his back two weeks ago. “He’s very athletic,” said Bills offensive line coach Sean Kugler. “He has the ability to recover when he is out of position. He’s a competitive kid, and he works at it. He loves the game of football, and those are the guys we’re moving forward with.” http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/790614.html Seems like Kugler was telling us why certain OL aren't here anymore.
  20. Brad Riter Show from 4-7 www.bradriter.com listen live or on the radio 1230 or 1340 It was good to hear real football talk yesterday with Ruben Brown on the show.
  21. Here's the link http://buffalomainevent.blogspot.com/
  22. 44 is one of my favorite numbers. Years ago 44 was a popular number for the featured back in the NFL. Now its seems to be worn by fullbacks who mainly just block. It seems to me John Riggins and the late John Stephens were the last featured backs to wear it. The other way of looking at it for those who don't want to see anyone wear it is at least Dubenion gets mentioned because of Omon wearing it, and people may remember Albert's accomplishments when they see it worn.
  23. S & B remind me of another pair of AM radio employees, Herb Tarlek and Les Nessman of WKRP. They also thought they were pretty smart. But their employer described them as 'obtuse' and 'addle-minded' (in this very funny episode). The good news was it only cost them $5 each to find that out! http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi976355353/
