Couldn't agree more. Why people still lobby for Trent is beyond me. He has NEVER shown anything (I don't care what he did for 4 games against weak opponents once), the guy is not a good NFL QB. He is fragile, he does not have it mentally, he has horrible throwing mechanics, he is not a leader of any kind, he was benched by 2 coaches last year and was outperformed by a journeyman QB from Harvard. Why again do some think he will be a serviceable QB. I just don't understand the thinking. Trent has proven he is not capable of leading a team.

I don't know, I didn't get to see a lot of Carter. What I did see of him though didn't make me say WOW he is just sooo much better than Reed. I think most of the good receivers around their time were basically all equal in talent except Rice. To say so and so is better than this guy or that is really splitting hairs I think. FWIW Carter had 150 more catches than Reed about 700 more yards and 43 more TDs but he also played 33 more games than Andre, and that is almost 2 full seasons worth of games. Give Andre 33 more games or Carter 33 less games and who might have the better #'s?

Nope, I meant bye bye Trent. The team rallied around Fitz last year, the same couldn't be said for Trent. As far as backups go, I would still rather have Fitz, at least he throws the ball down the field and strikes me more of a team guy. Maybe why his teammates rallied around him and supported him last year. So that is what I meant, bye bye Trent! don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

Maybe so, but what if Chan doesn't like what he sees in Trent and is having him go first so he can be one of the first cuts, so he can really get to work with the better QBs on the roster.

It's the mechanics that allow Trent to have a faster release. Trent brings the ball straight up to his ear and pushes the ball forward like a shotputter. Brohm actually has a windup like every other person who throws footballs. This being said, yes Trents release is faster but not necessarily better. Try it yourself in your backyard, throw like Trent and you will see it is faster and more accurate short, as the target gets further away it takes more to get it to that target and thus not as accurate and a lot less velocity on the ball. Then do a windup (like everyone else) and, yes the release point is slower but there is no drop off on anything as the target gets further away. Trent has bad throwing mechanics (Toronto Blue Jays guest opening pitch) and they are not conducive to being an NFL QB.

um, no! Trent got benched twice last year by 2 different coaches and was outplayed by a journeyman QB with exactly the same weapons. Tell us again why you think Trent has potential to be great? Trent will never have "IT". It is you people who think you can "polish a turd" that is the real problem around here!

Agreed, and I might add as I have said before, Trent does not have proper throwing mechanics. His mechanics, which are like a person shot putting the ball, will not allow him to be a long term viable option. He is limited in his ability to throw deep because of mechanics, and his penchant to go with the short game way to much allows other teams to easily figure him out and therefor have good gameplans to throw at him. He is what he is and that is average at best because at this stage of the game I don't think he could change his throwing mechanics. Trent is not the answer and once he is done as a Bill he will be out of the league.

The Schlepper said yesterday that he was not a Bills fan. Why is the guy even employed on a Buffalo sports radio station then? GR has problems and the first thing in fixing that problem would be firing Schlepp! Schlepp is about as useless as tiits on a bull!

Maybe, John Fox will end up in Buffalo and Cowher will end up in Carolina. Maybe that's why Cowher has been so quiet. Those planes from NF to Hickory could have been to talk to Fox instead of Cowher. Who the hell knows what's really going on. It was just extremely odd that there was no mention from C Casserly that Cowher had met with the Bills. Very very odd indeed.

I'm game for Cowher and McNabb to come on board. That means TO won't be back, oh shucks!

Today should be interesting, that's for sure. The thing that still keeps going through my mind is, the bills DID meet with Cowher and neither side has said a definitive YES or NO. Neither of the 2 parties involved has confirmed one way or the other. IMHO if Cowher was uninterested he would have already said so publicly. Because he hasn't that leads me to believe he is seriously considering coming to Buffalo. The Pregame show today should have some indication of which way he is leaning.

If there is any truth to this, I could see 1 yr with more years as options. Maybe Cowher is going to groom a head coach for a year or 2 to take over for him as he is being groomed to be the GM and take over for Nix after a year or 2. I dunno could be possible though.

He signed with the Raiders after the UFL season completed. He's their 3rd stringer I believe.

If that's the case why wasn't he playing? Edwards will NOT even be on the Bills next year. Arguing this stupid point that Edwards will be the Bills starter next year is just asinine. If you Edwards supporters can't see or understand why Edwards is not starting/playing at all, then one has to really question your football knowledge.

So given all the "bad" circumstances surrounding Brohm, what were your expectations of him? Sounds to me like you wanted him to perform on the level of a 5 year veteran.
