  1. I don't understand why some folks obsess over the national media so much. Allen has gotten a ton of positive press this year and now Tua is because it was bold and controversial for Flores to pull Fitz and so far they're 2-0. Here's the thing - now that we have a great QB that will perennially make us a playoff team, we should WANT Tua to be great. Screw sneaking into the playoffs because the rest of the AFC is bad too. Give me a bitter rivalry. I want to watch legendary matchups between Allen and Tua, Allen and Herbert, Allen and Lamar, Allen and Mahomes. Let the Pats and Jets be the dullards of the division.
  2. Amongst those that seem constantly discouraged, there is one overriding principle - that wins are fake (or at best flimsy) evidence of a good team whereas losses are real evidence of a bad team. So to the most pessimistic mind we're 0-2 in games with convincing results and 7-0 in games with unconvincing results. Then there are the skeptics who genuinely see a SB win and a SB win only as a success and don't think we're quite that good yet. I don't have that perspective myself but I respect it seeing as it's the standard that good players and coaches have.
  3. I was just musing about how Josh had an easy 415 yards with 4 short field drives and a lead the entire time. If we'd been trailing at any point and didn't cause all those turnovers he might have had 500 by the 3rd quarter.
  4. For me it was actually the two consecutive sacks before Tre's interception. It had that ineffable feeling that the Seahawks' heads were now under water.
  5. One of the critiques that I always heard from Vikes fans is that Diggs would disappear from a game and have no impact. Having watched him for 9 games in a Bills uniform I'm just going to assume that was a Kirk Cousins problem. Any QB not looking his way 10 times a game is a fool.
  6. There are just too many good QBs in the NFL right now to think you're going to get anywhere by rushing four and trying to disguise coverages. Maybe we can do a little of that against Lock and Tua this season. Otherwise we need to keep throwing this amount of pressure. Yes, you give up chunk plays sometimes because of it, but hell we were giving up chunk plays anyway. Plus we saw today the impact it has on turnover differential.
  7. Not sure if it's about warm weather per se but I think the worst he looked was the KC game and I'd be surprised if the rain didn't play a factor in that. The cold and windy Patriots game, I think he actually played quite well but he was only asked to throw 18 times so he didn't really amass yardage.
  8. Genuinely happy that the trade also worked out for Minnesota who is high on Jefferson understandably. GMs love having trade partners when there's a win-win because they'll be back.
  9. 9 teams in the AFC still have 3 losses or fewer. Why'd the NFC pick this year to suck ass?
  10. Allen got dragged down by the helmet today and no flag. Incidental contact to the face of Roethlisberger on a crucial 3rd down and they get it. Yikes.
  11. Not that all of them are "Franchise" QBs but in the AFC it's basically just the Jets, Patriots and Jaguars who don't feel good about their QB situation.
  12. The Cowboys are playing one of those Jauron-era Bills games where they somehow stick around with a great team but avoid big plays like a plague.
  13. Does the Cardinals defense look as bad as the box score indicates? They had their moments earlier this season but now I'm thinking Josh will have a very fun day.
  14. It probably won't happen but if the Cowboys hang on here we will be 1 game out of the 1-seed.
  15. 1 missed extra point given the number of TDs we've scored is great and you definitely see the ball knuckling less on the 40 yard kicks. Looking up.
  16. Curious to see if any of the trolls will be creative enough to disparage this win. Would be some next level trolling.
  17. After Tre left the field I loved that the first thing that happened was Dane Jackson getting a huge stick on Metcalf. Very interesting rookie with a small sample size.
  18. Dion Dawkins is Buffalo. I hope he plays and then lives in the city his whole life.
  19. Even on the play where Klein somehow got caught covering Tyler Lockett he hustled enough for the ball to hit him square in the back. Sometimes it's just your day. Fantastic game at the most important time.
  20. Dozens of threads after the Pats game aged like milk. Except that they are delicious.
  21. Klein getting the strip sack when he didn't even attempt the strip was an absolute thing of beauty.
