How do we support Duke?
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to JimBob2232's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair enough. If I was skilled I'd also do the job for 84k, but his job involves a lot more than showing up for a few plays a year. And I'm not one of those guys who's rooted for Duke to be a big part of the offense but I also try to remember that PS players are still in the top-200 or so players at their position in a business where tens of thousands of guys aspire to the same. -
It still doesn’t seem real

I suspect many may not want to hear this but the team can be for real and still lose in the first round of the playoffs. It's a single elimination tournament played with an oblate spheroid and wacky stuff goes down sometimes, not to mention that the AFC is very strong. If you could play 5 or 7 game series in football I'd say book us for the AFCCG. The "for real" feeling for me is that we'll return to the playoffs perennially while Josh is on the team and healthy and that deep playoff runs will happen when they happen. We also have a very real chance at a championship this year. -
I suspect you're right about the coaches' motivations especially because I REALLY think they were trying to break that 14 receivers with TDs record earlier in the game. That said, there aren't enough backups on the active roster to fill every single starting spot so Beasley may have stayed in the package for that reason. I noticed that not every defender got subbed out.

Putrid take. Do you really think the practice squad players do nothing? -
Josh Allen's command in one play

I just...don't understand how the ball gets to Knox's hands so quickly. I keep watching it and it doesn't make physical sense. -
I will say that the very next game they committed three straight turnovers in the 4th quarter which is a sure fire loss when you aren't facing the choking Chargers. But they started physically dominating in the next game against San Fran and haven't looked back.

5-0 since then including 4 in a row on national television. This team is a different breed.

Yeah but why was Jones on the field? -
Game Balls - Bills v. Cheats Week 16
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll say again what I said last week - we always used to need this thread because Bills wins used to come down to a couple players making key plays. The second half of this season we've seen total team victories. -
The way they're playing they won't get to use their Christmas presents til February.

Game Balls - Bills v. Cheats Week 16

I just hope our defense doesn't get surprised by a real QB after two weeks of Newton, Stidham and Tua throwing changeups! -

Milano played a fantastic game and we're just a different defense without him there. Made 3 surehanded tackles on 3rd downs in a game where we didn't get turnovers. -
Allen next week?
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll likely need the win for the softer first round matchups. The nice thing is defenders aren't getting anywhere near to touching him lately.- 138 replies
