It's because they were anointed a contender without accomplishing anything. Our rebuild has been a step ahead of theirs the whole time but it hasn't been recognized until like the last two weeks.

99.8%. Even if we lose out, Miami wins out and Baltimore wins out (9 games going against us) we have a 47% chance. We're in. Everyone should root for who they like best in this one.

One underrated thing is that the Raiders absolutely need a Ravens loss here so if the Ravens win you can imagine Gruden's smarmy face turning into a frown.

Yeah divisional games tend to be closer. But I think the more Lynn plays for his job the dumber he gets. The shine on Herbert has also worn off the last 3 games, presumably as teams have gotten more tape. We shall see!

Aside from the Jets there aren't two teams I trust less to go into Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs than the Chargers and Falcons. Not saying it can't happen but those two teams have made an art form out of losing tragically this year. Yesterday they played one another and just traded turnovers in the last 2:00 until the Chargers finally acquiesced to win.

I think the drought-era Bill that would improve us most right now is Fred Jackson. He had an uncanny savvy for picking up short first downs and turning 1 yard gains into 5 yards gains (Singletary and Moss both do this occasionally with pure effort but Freddie just knew how to hit tiny holes with the body control to fall the right way).
