  1. That particular type of sack/fumble where the QB tries to escape is so destructive because usually there aren't any OL around to recover it. When Allen gets extended Williams should get a nice car to drive to the golf course.
  2. The AFC is so deep this year, unlike the NFC where a couple cupcakes made it in. The four teams who make it to next round will already have accomplished something.
  3. Not sure who Williams is. I'd like to see that Antonio W. Harkens who played in Week 17.
  4. By the way, Poyer got robbed of a moment here because the entire NFL world should be talking about his 4-D chess play that won the game. Waiting for Pascal's leg to leave the ground...I don't even understand how he thought of that in the heat of the moment.
  5. I think Gabe will reach 1,000 yards next season and never look back.
  6. Disagree. There's a very clear image that shows space between Pascal's leg and the ground and space between Poyer's hand and Pascal's waist. Impossible to call in real time but crystal clear on replay, precisely the point of the replay.
  7. Chef Russ is cooking up a turd sandwich so far.
  8. Feel awful for Moss. As far as general injury concerns go we got out of a physical game very healthily. Nearly full strength heading into the next round.
  9. Their D played alright and definitely had playoff-level intensity but it would have been a laugher if ours had played even decently. We still put up 400 yards despite allowing them to possess the ball a long time.
  10. I say Titans barely edge the Steelers as a favored opponent but I don't think they'll beat the Ravens.
  11. Basically, yeah. If he called the entire game with a "burn the ships" mentality those calls would have made sense, but clearly the strategy was to possess the ball for 35 minutes and put up enough points to win by a single score.
  12. I realize that you can't assume how the game flow would have been affected but the Colts lost by 3 and Reich left 4 points on the field. First, there was the call to go for it on 4th and 4 when the score was 10-7. Yes, generally speaking you need to score TDs instead of FGs to beat our offense but it was late in the half after the Colts had basically imposed their will and their game plan was working as well as it possibly could. Giving the ball back without scoring was the single best way to turn the momentum. 4th and 1? Yeah, go for it. But after you lose those 3 yards it's a clear call to send out the kicker in my opinion. Next you had the 2 point conversion try which was classic overthinking. Even if you're successful and go down by 6, the opponent can still kick a FG to make it a two-score game and can make up the 2 points if they score a TD in response. The biggest thing, though, was that he left his team with one timeout and then was so passive in his calls on the final drive that the Colts only drove 41 yards in 2:37 during desperation time. I don't think I've ever seen a drive that started with that much time where the offense kept the ball but didn't even get into FG range.
  13. It was 10 carries for 42 yards. Pretty standard fare actually.
  14. It was likely the team's worst game overall since the first Pats game and yet we beat an 11-5 team and got the playoff monkey off our backs. There's nobody they can't beat.
  15. Daryl Williams picked him up. That was a pure heart play. The offense recovers that fumbled maybe 5% of the time.
  16. Bass is the Josh Allen of kickers.
  17. Watching Hyde slap that ball down with authority was a thing of beauty.
  18. 20 passes and 15 runs is an unacceptable ratio in a non-blowout for this team.
  19. He's a really good returner but McKenzie is younger, cheaper and just put a TD on film. Roberts definitely playing for his job this postseason.
  20. Never mind 3rd and long. We've had other QBs where I knew the drive was over if we got behind the sticks for 2nd down.
  21. I think Rivers is going to find out what happens when you try to throw a weak out route in Tre White's direction.
  22. There's no team in the AFC field that would shock me by pulling off an upset, unlike the NFC where a couple pattycakes made it in.
